Hi BCBudLady. Thanks. I’m hoping she produces 2 ounces!! Lots of the pistols are turning orange. It’s about 40/60 orange. I’ve been checking the trichomes and trying to be patient. Still mostly clear though. I think I’ll start the flush at the end of the week. Let the nutrients clean up a bit.

I did harvest a little flower about 5 days ago. Just to sample the different end stages of flowering. I am very pleased with it. Excited to see what a flushing and the last 2 weeks does. I’ll leave a little flower to go an extra week or two past the harvest. Just to sample what an over ripen flower is like.

That is a great plan! Some folks really like an earlier flower,, more up, depending on strain. I usually harvest when the trichomes on the upper buds( not sugar leaves) are 25-30%amber ...classic stoner smoke . That will give you far less maturity below. Unless you are rushed for space/time, harvesting in stages works very well.
I usually separate the harvest according to maturity in separate jars. I never put same strain plants in same jar either...can be very different smoke from plant to plant. Such fun!

It’s not uncommon for some autoflowers trichs to stay milky I let mine go 80days then chop

I’m a noob but the 2 oz sounds pretty solid to me. If you let her fully mature, maybe a bit more. She looks great! Congratulations!

The beauty of being a solo grower and smoker is that it’s gonna be all for me. I’ll have to try not to grow too often, I’ll end up jars stashed every where.

Ha! Yep. But if you’re like me and most of us on here, the growing sickness/therapy will continue. Get to stash’n them jars of the buds YOU grow. Hell of a feeling to be in control of your own plant destiny!!!

And I’m in your same boat. It’s legal here, but something I wouldn’t announce in my circle. So with very few exceptions, it’s here on AFN I get to show off my girls (or scramble for help, as the case may be ) and see what’s going on in all these beautiful gardens around the world and learn about what other growers are doing.

Autos don't need 12/12 to flower I keep my babies on 20/4 until on 3_4 nodes then I go 19/5 the rest of the grow
U'll get bigger plants and yeilds with more time under the light with autos

Totally agree @Bailey , but I’m not sure he’s growing an Autoflower. He just states it’s a AK47?
I run 24/0 out of convenience and low temps , but I do think 20/4 is optimal in veg and 19/5 or 18/6 in flower.

Having my morning coffee and she is getting her nutrients also. First grow and thought I’d throw it out there for chit chat with the group. Solo smoker, solo grower-AFN is the only place I can small talk pot. Really wish I had local friends who enjoyed the gardening aspect as much as I do.

How much do you think she’ll produce?

I’d love to get 3 ounces, but I’m not sure what a 3 ounce plant looks like or what is a descent harvest for a soil grown auto. She has about a month left to go. An AK-47 strain. On a 12/12 cycle with a 400watt HPS and 600watt LED that are about 12-14inches above foliage. Nutrients are the Fox Farm trio diluted down around 50%. Planted in 3 gal soil pots. Flowering for about a month already. Still mostly white hairs. Very few have turned orange. Trichomes still clear. Amazing orange, kinda citrusy smell.

Boy I d got no clue on produce, haven’t harvested my first one yet .... I’m thinking with the lights you’ve got your harvest should be higher .... have you looked at BuildASoil or KIS Organics?

I’m having super results and this is only my second grow, first was fox farms and now Kis / BuildaSoil combo and I think I’m killing it .... Check out my grow, if you like here .....

Harvested my first plant yesterday. I’ll have to go get some pics of the buds!!! We were just excited at the doing the process of a harvest! Started off the task with a nice bowl and got to work. I did a wet trim. So I chopped the branch, trimmed the leaves back and laid it out to dry. I’ll give it a week to dry then another week in brown paper bags.

Wet weight...14.15 oz on the digital scale. If I lose the expected 80% of weight volume drying...should come out to around 2.8 oz. I’ll update with pics soon.
