New Grower How soon ... stunted ?

Fighting a yellowing problem. Used RO water since day one along w/ Cal/Mag Plus. Been feeding Farmer's Pride Organic at full strength for a couple weeks but I have not been impressed w/ the results. Switched to Botanicare Pro Bloom Soil w/ Liquid Karma today ... about 3/4 strength ... went with Botanicare because I had it, I haven't been impressed w/ it in the past. Taking care of the electric problem next week so I may get to add a fan ... I removed about a dozen yellow leaves prior to photographing ... ph pegged at 6.6 ... I've never had ph stay so level ... I attribute this to about a quart of 'Quoddy' from 'Coast of Maine' in each 3 gal pot ... Lights on temps have been about 85* / 78* with them off ... Plants w/ the better buds are Blue Mystics, they are also the plants that are suffering from the most yellowing.

Aloha, nice looking girls- Yellowing can contribute from to high of a ph 6.6 is in a zone where nute intake and reaction growth can be stunted and is harder to bounce back from in soil then the rest ie hydro aero; however not completly impossible in soil you would need to adjust your ph to 5.5 6.0 max then flush your girls for a few feedings then only go 1/4 to 1/2 strength on your nutes for now until they fully recover from the deficiency. Here's a link you can use to compare and adjust to prevent anymore future problems take it easy Brother.

Looking good bro. How are LEDs treating you overall - do you have experience with CFLs as well?

Thanks I'll check it out ...

OGbaby ... I have grown w/ CFLs and found them to be too hot and not as effective as quality LEDs ...

Week 7 Update

Not much to say ... Blue Mystics still budding well though losing color ... Northern Light looks healthy enough but buds are not nearly as big as BMs' ... soil ph still holding steady at 6.6 ... with only 3-4 weeks to go I'm just going to stick w/ the basics and not attempt any radical changes .... going to let them get good and dry and then water w/ ph 6.0 along w/ Cal/Mag and Liquid Karma.

Week Nine ...

Coming to the end of the road ... 1 ABM is about ready and all three have been switched to pure RO water ... Thinking of running BioBizz for my next grow. All things considered, these plants did all right although the buds on the Northern Lights are unimpressive ... Probably take the one BM down next week and let the others grow for another week or two ...

:drool:Looking good there bud, finish strong:slap:

Harvested all three plants this week. Each one will be good for about 1.5 oz dry ... One is already at 62% rh and nicely fills a 1/2 gal jar ... nice brown/green color to the buds ... I let the other two go a few more days until the buds were good and ready ... Oddly, I've planted a Nirvana auto Northern Light seed in each of my last grows ... each time the plant was healthy but the buds were disappointing compared to the buds on the auto Blue Mystics. My grow space is a closet in my office. I leave the door open so light spills into the room. I noticed that the LED light was bothering my eyes. I have noticed a considerable improvement in eye comfort since harvest. I do not remember having this problem w/ smaller LED lights w/ the same spectrums ... I should have photos of weed in jars and maybe a bud shot or two later in the month ... thanks to all for joining along w/ my grow ... Next grow starts 11/1/13 ...
Hop digity

Good show Chester.:gthumb: Gonna wait to see how your Northern Lights go. Next grow it's Violator Kush or Northern Lights.
I know the Kush is kick ass weed, but I want to put a N/L grow under my belt; just to say I did.
