Hey folks.. so many lessons learnt from my first grow.. so many things I'll know or know I need to change for the next!!

I've underfed my girls I'm ashamed to say.. deficiencies were the pointer and I'm trying to bring them round with fingers crossed.. seems that I may have caught them in time but will need to keep a very close eye next few days and hope I'm right..

Iv not fed enuf or often enuf but only the last week/10 days.. I just didn't think they'd need as much and wasnt watching closely enuf.. the good thing is that Im almost 100% sure that's wat caused the problem..

I'm at around day 44 and well into flower.. my question to you is how much are your ladies drinking around that stage, week 6/7?? I'm in 11L plastic and 18L fabric root pruning pots, 2 of each.. and for me it seems they need around a litre to 1.5L per day.. what about you??

Hey Hope2Grow all the enjoyment of growing is the lessons we learn.

Although I am only currently on my first grow at the moment and growing in DWC bubblers and not soil like yourself, I have noticed a massive increase in the amount my 3 ladies have been drinking in the last two weeks and I'm currently on day 56.

I hope your ladies are okay and they recover mate.
Don't give up!

Many thanks Jim.. as I say.. I just wasn't watching closely enuf how much they needed!! So lesson learned.. I'm hopeful they'l pull round.. 3 are looking ok other than the red stems.. one has a bad dose of yellowing leaves from the bottom up and red stems and isnt looking so good.. if it came to it and I had to let 1 go it wouldnt be so bad.. fingers crossed.. appreciate the reply m8.. good luck with your grow ;)

In the greenhouse, my plants are in 5 gallon ( 19L ) growbag and right now they drink bout 5.7 liters a day! My indoor plants I water everyday, but limit them to about 20 to 24 ounces ( .6 to .7 liters )

I'm having issues as well with watering... I'm at 43 days with Cream of the Crop's Cash Crop and I was feeding her about 2 quarts a day in the evening when she usually starts drooping... the next morning when I check her she standing pretty looking amazing but come 4:00 pm she starts looking sleepy. I gave her 4 quarts last night thinking it would hold her but she is looking sleepy again today since around 4 pm again. She is 30 inches tall sitting in a Roots Organics 5 gallon grow bag under 400 watt lighting (18/6) in an indoor grow tent with temps usually around 79f-82f and her humidity sits between 45 and 50% ... She currently has a diet of General Organics Cal/Mag+Bio Bloom+Bio Marine+Bio Bud. I'm trying to keep her from looking droopy cause I don't need her stressing cause she is well into flower right now. I think my girl just eats like a pig and I'm going to try feeding her around 12 noon daily instead of waiting til she starts looking sleepy.

It's normal for most plants to droop toward the end of the day, plus if you are overwatering she will also droop. Looking awesome man, keep it up!

Are we talking water or nutes?

It is best imo to keep the soil around field capacity (not too wet not too dry). I know traditionally people always went for the wet/dry cycle and watered when the plants were feeling light (as in pick up the pot and feel how much it weighs). This can cause problems in soil because microbes and beneficial bacteria get angry when the soil dries out too much as they start to die off. These are the organisms that help your plant uptake nutrients. That said, my plants get water every day, not much but enough to get them moist again, not wet. If you keep them too wet, you will have much larger problems than you will face with a wet/dry cycle.

Just keep practicing, you will find your way after a few tries. This is only my experience after 6 short years of growing, but it has worked for me and I've seen the results. Not a manual by any means, do what works for you and always experiment.
