Hey guys Lysergik here. I've been an avid pot smoker for about 11 years now and I recently bought my own home and want to get into growing the green herb! I've been doing lots of research and have the grow room half complete. I'm going for a DWC 2x300 marshydro 1 plant autoflower grow for my first attempt. I've bought a few books, some books on LED plant growing and am really taking all the info I can in. I came across this site and you guys seem like a real helpful and nice community! I've been using reddit but I feel a forum is better for this kind of thing.. Anyway Hello everyone!

I'm looking at Dutch Passion Automazar. but everyday is different at the moment haha.. I like the grows I've seen of Mephisto but I'll save that for my second grow. Dutch Passion seems to have nice yields, what would you recommend for someone who likes to smoke hybrids that are more even or slightly more Indica.

I think you are on the right path...DP is a great company to start with as their plants are very strong quality and also producers. I haven't tried the automazar yet, but I would suggest auto ultimate for a fist would be a solid choice. Even if you make some mistakes you will still get a yield, and if you do it right wowsers...look out you will be swimming in buds. Hybrid buzz leaning toward indica effect. They may take a little longer than some, but man...worth a grow.

Thanks alot 912! I've been spending the last month doing lots of reading and researching all about a soil grow.. I just decided to go DWC about 5 days ago.. I really want to get the nutes right on it as I hear thats the tricky part with DWC.. I will totally look into DP Ultimate, that sounds like its exactly what I'm looking for. So the first 2 weeks in a dwc grow, nothing bud PH'd RO water? No Cal Mag or root stimulators?
I have a note book thats about 20 pages deep with notes I've been taking the past month. I want to absorb as much knowledge and go into this grow confident. I know with the info on this site that I can totally do that. You guys are awesome!

Forgot to say! My grow space is a sliding door closet thats 2 feet deep and about 6 feet long .
Do you think 1 mars hydro 300w and maybe 4 cfls would be enough light for one plant?

I cant give any advice for DWC growing as I am mostly old school soil/soilless and outdoor experienced, but I can hail a couple in that are very good at DWC. @Eyeoftheworld (hopefully my memory is correct and its EOF that is rocking the DWC)

I can give you a bit of advice about your grow space though. I run a 56"wide X 16"deep X 34"from the top of the pots to the lights surface stealth cabinet. With an odd shape like that you might have a hard time fitting the monster stains in there. In my space I focus on smaller strains an do a few more. This gives me variety choice to try different strains, and I do quite well with yield considering I use old tech LED lights(old version mars 100X3w and galaxy hydro 100X3w). I have 2 galaxy and one mars, and last run I pulled a nice haul growing small plants in 7" pots(with errors almost 1gram per watt). If you are set on dwc I would look for a 3 pot system. This would give you a 2'X2' space per plant and also give you 3 varieties to smoke to reduce tolerance.

Ultimates grow into huge plants, and I do mean huge...these things often fill a 4'X4' tent with a single plant especially if done correctly in DWC

I'm not set on DWC really.. Maybe soil for my first grow is what I sould be doing. Yeah my grow space is awkward.. I was going to do a 2 plant grow when I was going to soil.. and now I'm thinking I might switch back.. hmm... Mephisto plants don't seem to grow that big and they seem to have good genetics from all the grow journals i've read.. what are you're thoughts on Mephisto, and Soil vs DWC for a first time grower. What are some medium size plants that are good yeilders? I really want to pull atleast a 100 plus grams from my grow so I have a nice spring and summer stash. Airpot vs Smartpot?
