Oh yeah....I'm going to nerd out on that. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be breaking ground anytime soon...Wife and I are going to Kona, HI in early July and there aren't enough days or dollars to get them to cure before then and the grow has to be on the down low (at least locally) so I won't be able to have someone tend them in my absence.

But I am going to start a thread anyway to establish the nuances of my set-up. It will be good to work out any kinks (foreseeable kinks, anyway) while I'll compile the equipment.
I wish Sweet Nutes were already available. I have visions of Jaypp's plants in my head all the time now...The first thing I did once I had chosen Dark Devil was google image search the strain...every picture I ended up looking at seemed to be his. I have them in a strain folder for inspiration.

What section should I put it in, though.

Sweet Seeds Section?

Indoor Growing?

LED Growing?

New AF Growers?

IDK

Nice! Congrats on the trip.
It will be nice to return from vacation to start your sweet farm.
Create the grow log where you feel it will fit best.
If your looking for (lots) input, go for the new af growers.
You'll get help if/when you need it no matter where you locate it.
It's casual around here. If the mods think you'll get more help or traffic they'll move it for you.

Sweet seeds ... are ... well... SWEET! Good choice, I've got loads of em, and dark devil seems like a winner! I did black cream a while back and that was awesome. Smoking on some cream mandarin and Black Jack at the mo - very nice!!

What section should I put it in, though.

If you think you're gonna need "general growing advice" - then new growers forum would be best.
If you feel like you have a handle on basic growing, and would like more strain specific help from the breeders, then the sweet seeds forum is the way to go.

You can always ask questions in the LED or Sweet seeds forums even if your grow thread isnt there - we're always happy to help!

I have to say...the spirit of camaraderie here is very refreshing. Thanks all!

Wwwiilie, looking at your grow threads (among others - glancing Ronin's way) has got the proverbial juices flowing...I may not be able to wait until after Hawaii. Maybe I can germ one Dark Devil as a test run for the soil composition....(scratches brow) and potting solution I have in mind.

Blue, The next 30 minutes or so is going to involve 3 things...more coffee, some Strawberry Kush and your grow threads. Can't finish typing this quickly enough to go check out the Cream Mandarin!!!
I'm also hoping someone starts up a Devil Cream soon. Mustard's Red Poison sure was gorgeous too. I know i need to be patient but I can't wait to be stuffing a purple, orange and green nug in my pipe!
(if I get one of those phenos) and tasting that grape skittle action.

As to my future first grow thread, I think I'm going to put it in the Sweet section...Not that I don't want a lot of input, but I would like to keep the thread as "un-sidetracked" as possible and data mine elsewhere.

I just want to thank all the mods (soo moddy...) and veterans (growers and military) for extending such hospitality. I see a nice, productive future here. (Unless vB just totally comes off the rails - must be daunting thinking about making the jump over to XenForo)

As a public service announcement (not a solicitation)...if anyone needs any help with some graphic design, just let me know. Avatars, logos...whatevs.

Hey Trapper, as a fellow 40 something "old fart" with a dodgy back and general aches and pains (where do they come from?) welcome! I´m quite new here myself but been growing auto´s for some time, and I´m a huge Sweet Seeds fan. I did Dark Devil a while ago and its a lovely plant to grow. Helped the back pain as well!

Just wanted to say you will struggle to find a friendlier or more helpful community anywhere on the net so you have come to the right place. Looking forward to seeing your grow mate!

They look the business don't they? As a designer, I can say that whomever they have doing their graphics is a talented individual...I love how global this site is, it takes me out of my subconscious, ethnocentric tendencies, as it relates to design and life. I saw a pic of a Micro-grower's view out his window in Moscow. That somehow had a visceral effect on me. Sidenote: Love the AUS/Original version of "Rake", Mate...I binged the first 2 seasons.

But I'll tell yah, Gloom...the genetics inside those tiny seeds are just as, if not more impressive to me. BTW, had you ordered some and they didn't get through?
