Old Reviews HTG supply review

offgassing comes from certain chemicals in some of the tent plastics-when the heat gets to it from your lights it breaks down into a form of gas and kills the hell out of your plants very slowly all the while it looks like a deficiency you can never seem to cure. That may not be the best explanation of it but its close.

How can one tell if that is happening?

I've ordered all my HID gear from them, among other things. I hate to see anyone have a bad experience, but I have never had a single bad experience and I've ordered 20 times from them, at least. :peace:

From what i've read Squid,as this has not happened to me,the plants leaves show signs of a deficiency, yellowing etc. and never seem to pull out of it despite your efforts to cure it.End result is the leaves go whitish color and the plants die.I did notice some of the people who say they've had this happen turn their plantsaround by taking them out of the tent and they turn around for the better.I just learned of this offgas myself and did a little googlingand found quite a bit of different threads on this subject.

Off gassing is from the cloth materials of tent giving off noxious gasses that could be harmful to humans and plants.

Sorry to hear you have not had good luck at HTG. I go to that very same store, many times. I have asked for help and got good service. But most all the time I go there I am looking for something and I just buy it. So it maybe a little different.
One thing that is hard when starting out is "you" go to a shop and think you are talking to the master of all grows and you get a different answer from anyone or any store you visit. So that does suck.

I have gone to other shops in the area, and find that most all the time they are more expensive and at the same time never have the stuff in stock. That is one nice thing about HTG they have tons of inventory. I'm not right down the road so making a trip into portland is worth it when you can get what you want and not just get the standard we are out of that, gonna have more on a truck next week.

Have NEVER HAD NOTHING but good experiences with Gotham Hydroponics, their tents are unbeatable for the $$$... I know a bit off topic but just had to
Share with you Gotham... Give them a look up next time and I believe the guys name is Scott and he knows a helluva lot bout growing and victor has always been helpful as wellZz though the other guy is a good soure for a noob.. They won't steer you wrong.

About a week ago I called the 1-866 number for HTG and got them to send me replacement tents for free. I was told they would be here in 3-4 days and it has been almost double. So I called today to find out what was up. Apparently my tent was on back order and won't be here til Tuesday and in the meantime my plants are dying from off gassing. I was pretty frustrated to say the least. After talking to them for awhile they agreed to send me a free 600 watt digital ballast and socket set as well as free nute samples. Although that doesn't replace the plants that my tents have killed its nice to know that someone there cares about the customer. I probably won't buy anything from here again but the people at the warehouse are fairly reasonable and willing to help
