LG- most bud rot is caused by botrytis mold, which needs the right environmental conditions to activate and start invading buds.. high RH% and usually low temps are key activators but once started, it tolerates a wider range of RH and T's to invade! Higher T can help with high RH% to keep it from going nuts,... The spores are basically everywhere, as it's so common and the spores are micro-small, the wind carries them like smoke practically,... what happens is the spores land on the plant and just sit there,.. may not ever activate, but if the conditions are right, they will,... bud literally grows around the spores, and that's the problem,.. the internal env. of the buds is nice and cozy as is

,..... This my war every year outside, so mold I know well, plus all that I see here in Sick Bay from a variety of grow methods and conditions,.... the spores will enter the plant tissues and travel up the vascular system, so rot starts from the inside out,.. only after it matures does it reset more spores, which can all happen very quickly at time! Usually the only outward indication early on is the odd looking leaf/sugar leaf, wilted, discolored,.. a tug on it may pull it right off,... then it's basically time to treat it like gangrene,... if you get mold, holler at me and I'll go through the method for cutting it clear,... BUT make no mistake, your grow method
has nothing to do with it, plenty of hydro growers get mold! You have been given irresponsibly bad info about that, trust me,....
... get me a closer shot of the affected leaves, I can't quite see the details,... I need more info on your nutes, dosages, pH and EC/ppm's, and if there's been a temporary hiccup in pH recently,...
