mehhhh.. ive used "hydro" nute in soil... it works but I'm sure its better to get coco specific for salt buildups maybe..

fabric dudes, them too... you need to pick and choose brother.. I'm pretty sure everyone'll help

Promix HP is my choice pick as well for medium.

If you need any help with DWC I am here to answer any questions you have. What are your goals for your upcoming grow? Are you growing just for yourself or are other people depending on your smoke for meds? These are some of the things to think about before you choose how you are going to grow.

You know its funny that you posted this thread because I was thinking not to long ago that we should have a mentorship type program for just this type of thing. You know pairing up older veteran members with newer folks(either to growing or the site or both) and having them be grow buddies, maybe the staff could toss this idea around the staff break room. I think it would be a great way to not only help newer folks out, but it gives us veteran folk a way to give back. Also I think it could serve the ancillary purpose of cutting down on a lot of the repetitive threads that can sometimes arise in the new grower section, by providing an open line of communication to an older site member that could get a lot of questions answered very quickly without having to start a thread each time.

It is just a thought anyway, lol if this is something you might be interested in @HempyBogart shoot me a PM and maybe we could pilot test the AFN mentor program or the Big Brothers, Big Sisters for WEED movement. Something like that anyway. Cheers friend and i am sending good grow vibes your way

The thing which has really got to me is the prevalence of fungus gnats in so many bought soils - it always seems a lottery. Using coco and feeding with nutes I've noticed my plants look far healthier and produce better than when in soil, so I'm definitely getting sold on DWC. Hopefully come the autumn I can have a go.

you should try loiving organic instead of a bottled feeding program. night and day difference actually and WAY WAY WAAAAY easier than ANY I repeat ANY bottle feeding program.fungus gnats and all LOL Just sayin bro!

I decided to go with a supersoil type mix. It's not the exact recipe, but it's really close. I'm digging the just water thing.
I got ambitious with a bagseed I had and thought I'd try my hand at cloning.... Danged if it didn't work..... I have 6 clones in my tent, thriving and growing like weeds....

especially in a decently nice organic medium with life abound and foods galore LOL. works pretty well. a milder version of tha for your clones too is outstanding and takes half the work off your back right there LOL kinda neat

My mix is apparently a little bit warm. Not hot-hot, but there are signs of too much N; curling and twisting, but boy they are chugging along.
I'm scheduled to have a 12'x20' shed delivered tomorrow and in the back, I'm going to build a room for the clones and try a SOG.
I'd love to show off some pics, but it's a huge pita to take a pic and send it to my email, save it to a folder then post.
