coconut oil is good for you, and one of the best oils for making cannabutter.
you don't need to decarb, make a small batch without decarb, then try with it.
aging reduces the green, which helps with the taste.
I always set some pot from a grow aside, so I can blend different types to get closer to what I want.
I got my crock pot at Goodwill for 2 bucks. It was the original crock pot, still had the tags on it. It lacks adjustability, tends to run a little hot.
You will find that with most crockpots. You want to simmer, not boil. The pot will tend to form a mat on the surface, holding in heat.
You could also use a double boiler, which contrary to the way it sounds, is intended to prevent boiling.
So...here is a little something to get you started. Put a tblsp of plain coconut oil in a microwave dish.Put an ounce or two of Bakers unsweetened baking chocolate on top of it. Nuke it for a minute, let it sit and melt for a while. Put a couple eggs into a mixing bowl, and whisk them. Doesn't take but a few seconds. Take 1 cup of Ghiradelli brownie mix (any) and put it in the bowl. Go back to the microwave, and using a fork see if the chocolate is soft enough to blend with the coconut oil. You will prob need to microwave a little more. This would be a good time to add the cannabutter, and let it melt into the choc and oil. When they are all blended together, put it into the mixing bowl, and stir until it's well mixed.
Grease a bread pan. You can make a smaller space in a regular pan by folding some tinfoil into a dam, in the pan.
Cook at 325f. It will be done when a toothpick inserted into it comes out clean.
Cut the brownies into small squares, or cut one small one to try. Mine usually come out very strong, sometimes all I need is a piece one inch by one inch to get high.
Somewhat perversely, I have been trying to make my brownies less strong.
I have a very good molasses cookie/bar recipe, if you like that. It's a more adult version. I will likely make a fresh batch of edibles, of that, to try a new blend later today.
