Grow Mediums I want to try hydro, you want to do hydro with me?

Thank you very much @MedGrower.
You definetly not sounding like a douchbag, you sound very reasonable.

I think this airpump that came with the system is on 30L/m. That's 50% of your recommendation. Will have a look at a new airpump. I think i have one that's twice as powerfull. Then I would hit 0.5 per liter. I change after I write this.

My nutrients are chelated, I'm 100% possitive. The thing is, according to my nutrint-companies nutrient scheduale they have set ph at 5.2 for first three weeks. I tought that was low, so I set ph at 5.7 and it raises to 6.1 in about 2 days, then I have lowered it again.
But I could let it go from 6 to 6.3.

My tap has an ppm of 76. You keep your total ppm at 200? For how long.

For me its okey if I mess up this grow, I have autopot girls that will cover it.
But I need to learn how to grow dwc if I want to be a true gardener. I have a dream, and I will get there.
All I read I try soak up, but some things I need to learn by do mistakes... its like I feel good when I learn by mistakes as I then understand why it happen in a easier way.

At what day should these girls be seen as Wasted?
They are 50% in size of my autopot girls..

Thank you.

Oh boy, how large your reservoir was in total? 120 litres? Currently I am running about 9.6 lpm pump with about 21 litres of solution. That must be one big pump you got there with 60 lpm :eyebrows:

With that plain water ppm I guess about 250ppm to 300ppm is good. Keep it there for a week, then gradually pump it up to 400ppm next week, 500ppm week after that until the plant starts to make a difference to the reservoir and then add / lower the ppm's accordingly. Or that's how I do it anyway

How many days these girls been up and about?

Yepp, its about 120 litres of solution. The bigger the rez, the easier to keep ec and ph stable, according to the friendly guys here and Mr-web.

The pump is an haelia. I was supposed to have it to my autopot-system. Now im down to a 30lpm there, will connect in two days and see if the girls are okey with the smaller pump.

The girls are on day 8 or 9 depending how you calculate. If day 1 is when they were first visible, then its day 9 today.
Not sure how girls in hydro grow for the first weeks, but I can see they slacking big time against my other ones.

I count from the first true leaves as day 1. It takes the tops of hydro plants a little longer because so much growth takes place in the root system early. This is setting you up for rapid explosive top growth usually starting around day 14 -21. Your plants from then on will exceed most soil grows.

One thing is all the messing with these poor girls is shocking - give them a brake and let them grow.

Water level should be 1/4" below the net pot until the roots are well into the res - first two weeks then 1" below the net pot consistently. I know your system will control that with the float valve.

Thanks for sharing @Mañ'O'Green! Always good with pictures. Those seedlings probably came up day before, might a touch of beginning day before that. If plant deep, some could look like that same day they come up. But yes, i agree, those look like day 1 girls.

I was busy for an hour or so, I took down my big girl. She is going to be potent and a nice haul. Did a wet-buds weight and im happy with that, hoping that the loose 75% of weight will stick :coffee:. But its been summer, buds are little looser then normal.

I will leave them alone now and hoping the doubling of air-supply, and SM-90 will do the trick.

Where do you place your airstone guys, in the center of the pot or at the side, thinking the roots could get hurt by a violent airstream?

Did not have the foam in home, so will get some tomorrow and some good reliable tape.
