Grow Mediums I want to try hydro, you want to do hydro with me?

Since there is no way to know if you are limiting your plants growth by giving it too little nutrients - unless you are totally starving it and the leaves start turning yellow and falling off from cannibalization. Dropping your nutrient levels is not such a great Idea. You can however determine the upper limit of your nutrients by continuing to raise them until you see some tip burn - just a little. Then back off 10% and you will be in the sweet spot for that strain. Different strains have different needs.

The base nutrients im using normally gives the girls signs of to much Nitrogen before any tipburning accur. Im pretty sure, as i see that 2 of them can have the same food as both are looking okey and growing with a nice green, whilst the two other ones are slowed down by the nutrients, showing signs of excess, one of them still have green cotyledon, if underfed she would have eaten them up by now i guess. I did lower the nutrients to 383ppms from 450ppm. Ive seen 300grams plants on web use no more then 0.8 - 0.9 EC max, even in full bloom. Ill take some photos of them today and explain what i see. Maybe i read them wrong and underfeeding them, then im happy to hear about it. I see how your girls look like at day 21, they are bushes.... so apparently im doing something wrong.

I think 2 of my girls will do okey, maybe 3, while 1 or 2 will hit the garbage.... or they can stay but they wont yield anything.. I just learned that i need to start up more girls in smaller containers and choose the ones that like about the same feeding before planting them in the system.

Oh garbage? Don't give up on the runts its not their fault . I dunno why u are using such a low ppm man. As of lastnite I got brave . no tip born at all so I moved them to 1200 ppm and man are they reaching OMG!!!

Ill upload the photos here and you can have a look aswell..
I might be underfeeding, but my eyes tells me its excess of nutes on two of them.

Here is the weakest one

And her tips...

In my eyes it looks like excess of nutes, tips should not be like that. She is the girl with the variegation, uneven foliage.

And here is the other ones... i will place them in order of wich i think they can handle nutes, not health of girls....

Tips show a touch of excess as they are bending down? A little drop would do her good?

A perfect plant, she little lighter in color today if compare to 12 hours ago, as i lowered the nutes, wich i think suits her better, as she had a to dark green yesterday. In my eyes this is how a green shoukd look like.

The light color of the new growth is from stress, but excluding that i could have raised her nutes yesterday(not lower them, but the other girls then?) and she would have respond with growth. Please correct me if im reading the girls wrong.

Young leafs usually appear first bit yellow at this stage. Definately not underfeeding them by the looks of it but I dont see overfeeding either. Look up my old AU grow at GN lights section at day14 using around 0.5 EC and going monster. Its not all about the feed but also about genetics and other enviromental factors.

Read up on @pop22 excellent article that sheds light on hypertonic, hypotonic and isotonic solutions and the what actual science tells us about them. https://www.autoflower.org/threads/flushing-the-myth-that-wont-die.56274/

I think it may be a good idea to gradually increase the feed but stop until you see leaves going very dark / tip burn.

I know younger leafs can appear lighter green. But i think the first lady is extra sensitive. You dont think that looks like excess? She have grown much slower then the rest and it basicly looks like she stopped grow compared to the ones that are ok with the ppms. I could be wrong, but it feels like she really dont like higher feed.
What would you do, leave it as it is? I think im having as good as can be for a first-timer? How does excess of magnesium look like? Do you see any of that? Thats the only extra i added that could show excess of nutes.

I had the girls on 400 ppms before, they showed excess, i lowered the ppms to 330-340 and we were fine, 3 days ago i rasised to 430 and now yesterday the biggest one was a bit to dark with stsrting of N-tox, wich was clearly seen on the younger ones.

Will have a look at you AU and read about pop22s article... but feel free to share what you see. Be straight on!

@MedGrower. Your girl did fine on 0.8-0.9 EC for first four weeks... and AU is normally a heavy feeder when she takes off, but you stopped at 1.2 EC. So i will leave the girls around this ppm. Thank you for that, makes me calm..

Will try raise in 5 days or if the girls asking for it before.

Yeah I think it is best for now. Observe how the ppm's behave and act accordingly to that. What time of the day/night cycle did you take the pics? Plant can be bit like that hours before the lights go out too.

I understand with multiple plants sharing the same feed / reservoir things always leads to compromises and can get bit tricky and confusing. Partly thats why I like to grow one plant per system these days ;)

@MedGrower 3 of them have showed pistills but no hars at all, the healtiest one has not even show a calyx, isnt that a good sign they will get big? Or atleast that they have long veg time to go?
