Grow Mediums I want to try hydro, you want to do hydro with me?

So, after some youtubing I checked the girls and they have this kind of growth? Air temp is 25-26°C, water-temps as 20.9 °C....

Taco in the beginning of the leafs.. is it heat, light? Temps are fine since yesterday, this happend in the afternoon... got it on every lady, more or less.

What is your humidity? Plants can do that when they are trying to hang on to water. I know there is a lot to learn but have you looked into VPD - vapor pressure deficit as it relates to cannabis growth? Lots of information out on the web. I was just looking and there are some new articles 2017 as they apply to cannabis indoor growing.

I turned off the lights as I suspect this is from heat... will give them a few hours rest, possibly they got heatstressed just before I fixed the temps and this accurs now. Will raise RH again to help the leafs a bit on the recovery.
Don't randomly turn lights off and on - it really messes with their circadian rhythms. Just add some moisture to the air or a fine mist on the plants instead.

When started to grow I was thinking it was just to learn how many dl or ml to give, and what soil-container. Ha! It's so much to learn. When open one door, you see 100 new doors... and behind those doors is another 1000 doors. I'm at door 134. Got a long journey to go.

My meter reads around 45-50%. Itso been like that all the time, could be a faulty meter aswell, but I can feel its definitely not down in low 30is... my nose says atleast 40%.

VPD - will Google that after I start the humidifiers. Thanks. Venice Police Department :haha:

I don't think i ever have misted a plant? Should i?

VPD - :greencheck:
It was very easy to understand. It's high RH in veg in low RH in bloom basicly. I did know that, but I don't know exactly why, now it's little more clear.

I don't mist, I have a sonic humidifier to add moisture. The H&G nutrient system includes foliar feeding three times during the grow and I do that.

VPD - knocking on your door Vice Patrol Dispatch

So the misting is just a way to add moisture if you don't have a humidifier?
Both mine are on now, hopefully it will be enough.

Had a bad day today, I had left a 150-200 grams plant longer then usual before taking her down. She had no mould when I took her down, she was supposed to go in to the cans today but 50% of the buds in the bag had mold. That has never happend before. I have been venting that bag just like every other time. I wounder if it was because I let her go 2 weeks longer as I was lasy to cut her down.... that was a bummer.

Its your airflow Rambo increase it . I've seen that plenty before . hell it happened to me and I watched my plants do it when I had to move my air mover around.

Sorry about your loss :frowny:.
As far as I know longer harvest time does not enhance mold opportunity; just temperature under 76°F and humidity > 70%.

I hate mold. It happens. You have seen how I line dry my harvest with gentle air movement, temperature ~ 75°F and 50% humidity until the smallest branches snap off. I use mason jars to cure in. I have Bovida 62s in every jar and 10 hygrometers in 10 random jars. Keep humidity under 64% temperature > 75°F. and of course always stored in a dark place. If at any time the humidity goes over 65% I spread the buds out an a drying rack over night. During the first week of curing I open each jar every day and spread the buds out on a cookie sheet for 10 to 15 minutes. Then in the second week I just open the jars for 10 to 15 minutes every day. After that I just burp the jars once a month. I wash and dry the jars and lids in between each use.

Ps.
I have never done this but there is a lot of info out there about washing the remaining buds in lemon juice and baking soda to kill any mold spores. The molded buds are compost. Never try to consume them.

I was just researching bud washing again and apparently to kill the mold spores you do a first rinse in Hydrogen Peroxide. Then the lemon juice and baking soda followed by a couple of rinses. Once again I have never done this so no first hand knowledge.
