If you were told you only had a month to live and told you could have one last wish that would come true what would it be?

Mine would be to be the engineer on the biggest steam locomotive still running and drive threw the mountains and the open flat lands so I could open her up and pour the coal to her.I had model trains when I was young and a steam engine that puffed real smoke, and I still watch videos of them and I still love them.I would smoke a big fat one grab the throttle and crank that baby down the rails."Bailers Booya""Bailers Booya""pher Wiggle":grin:

Barring any benevolent acts meant to improve existence for everyone...

I would want the technical and mental ability to play guitar with the skill and creativity
of a combination of 3 legendary guitarists:

Stevie Ray Vaughn
Alex Lifeson (RUSH)
John Williams (here's a youtube for those that aren't familiar)

(phew...that harmonic he hits at 5:13.5 - Wow, that is the pinnacle of scale resolution.)

and then play a month's worth of gigs in little dive bars and small venues around the country and just rip it.

I experience sheer bliss when I accurately air guitar these songs, so I can't imagine the feeling of
actually being responsible for actually making the music.

I think that would be a great way to go.

Not a very altruistic one. Right now I wish it would warm up. I didn't travel all this way to stand on a street corner shivering.

I shelved my south Florida plans of warm sunny beaches after Tuesday to come to this Podunk north ern county to represent. I expected a cool reception in the republican dominated anti prop 2 area, but from the people, not mother nature. Brrrrrrr.
Later.

I'd wish for a time machine, then i would never age, therefore never die (barring accidents!), and i would be able to see everything that ever was ;+}

It's funny you should say that there was an estate auction not far from me a few months ago and at the auction was an 2500sq foot HO scale train set, the tracks were fixed to 4x8 sheets of plywood the tops of the plywood was all done up to look like real terrain with hills and valleys, rivers and a town, there were 5 or 6 trains and a huge control box to run the trains and all kinds of other cool shit I didn't even stay to see how much it sold for way out of my league. But I did envision myself with a conductor hat on. And a blunt as fat as a Cuban cigar playing with my trains looking a little like this

But as for what I would wish for I think I would wish for eternally unlimited funds so can leave my kids with what ever they need but assuming my health is still good for the time I have left I will have plenty of money to do whatever my kids want to do go where they want to go and see what they want to see with their dad before I'm gone.

Mine would be a simple one. I would wish to spend one Day with my Mum. She passed from Cancer when i was 1,5 yrs old. So One Day with Mum and i can Die happy.
