I'll rephrase my post, maybe that was a bit much.

But I disagree with "unwarranted." They reap what they sow, and they didn't get those reputations because they didn't do things to deserve them.

I’ve grown a lot of their stuff. Mostly all been great. The few times I had to deal with their customer service (FB specifically) it was great. And I don’t mind marketing involving bare breasted women….although I haven’t seen those.

Unwarranted hate, pure and simple.


That being said. I’ve also grown a ton of Mephisto gear, for example. Mostly all been great, but I’ve had some total duds. And their customer service has been nightmarish at times.

Many, many breeders use others work and don’t credit.

It’s just the bandwagon, and now you drive it.

Like the time they started Grow Diaries and secretly try to steal all the members from the forum over to it? Then lied about it. Denied it. Then came clean about it after we threatened to publicly post about it?
Like the numerous times they hosted cups that no one showed up to, only to win their own events?

You on Instagram? You see the ass paddling that Daz with Nightowl has been giving them over their claims?

That's not unwarranted; that's cause and effect.

Not at all. It's information some growers may find pertinent to whether or not they want to support a company or not. Much how many people won't buy Ethos because the owner allegedly threw a dog out of a moving vehicle. Whether or not that should persuade or dissuade someone from growing their genetics, knowing what a company is "all about" certainly isn't a dumb thing.

I would rather post things here that are moderately controversial (especially if steeped in truth) if it saves growers from supporting companies that aren't good people. Whether you believe or not is up to you, I'm not posting to change YOUR mind, I'm posting to let new growers like the OP know "hey some of these companies have some controversial pasts, which is why you'll see many people not supporting them."

Sticking to your convictions isn't jumping on the bandwagon. We haven't supported Fast Buds as a forum here since we kicked them off for example. That was our decision and our story. Not sure how we're jumping on anything there, friend.

That said, whatever. I stick by what I said to OP…. Which is that their personal experience counts. As does everyone’s. I find it inappropriate that you’ve jumped in here to try and silence our personal opinions. I get it. You hate them, and feel justified as doing so.

If you, as the owner of this site, would like to put out a list of companies we can and can’t speak about. Do so… at least let us know the parameters of the censorship you’re pushing here.

The fastbuds rep here was pretty kind to me on these forums. She kept me in new genetics for over a year for free on afn. I was pretty sad when they left. I was fortunate enough to run more of their genetics than most would have had access to. In my experience they had some of the best auto genetics right up there and even surpassing the Dinafems I was running from Mark and other sponsors here at the time. I'm not exactly sure what "white label" means, but I was never of the impression they did their own inhouse breeding. Almost everything in my house now is stickered product from some other company manufacturing it. I'm not really put off by a seed company doing it. Much love for the smaller craft breeders working it, but there is still room in my heart for fastbuds and the product they put out. AFN has created a trove of testers, and in my learned experience here on AFO, FB gets 5/5 stars.
