Hey all, Looking for some info on bubbling nutes. The real benefit, what is the simple setup and recommendations.
As far as I know, it helps oxygenate nutes therefore better uptake by roots. Would luv anyone too throw there 2 cents out!

I do it because it promotes the evaporation of unwanted chemicals like chlorine and such. Another tip if you want to help better nutrient uptake is "pre-watering", water a very little bit with plain water before feeding your nutrient solution. There was a big article about this by The Rev somewhere that I can't find. I do it, I figure it can't hurt anything so what the hell.

really do not worry about evaporation of chems as I use purified water!

Bubbling the water raises the o2 level in the water for better uptake for the plants. The roots like the extra oxygen and your plants will be happy. It also helps stabilize the ph in the water to the desired level you wont see the same swings you see when water is just left alone.

All you need is a cheap air pump and a medium size stone. Too big a stone for the pump you wont to many bubbles. To small a stone and it wont sink to the bottom. I always ph and bubble my water for a few days before using it.

We use the same technique in the salt water aquarium industry for a stable ph when growing corals.

When i bubble my tap water it raises my Ph to 8.4!!! :D
