i just mounted an inline fan to the back of my cabinet. It is mounted with 2 screws on the backside of my cabinet. This small fan is intense it dropped my high temps instantly! The only issue is it has a humming vibration that I can't seem to get rid of. Does anyone have any tips to help get rid of this vibration before my wife kills me?

suspend from bungie cords.put it in an acoustic box.put it in a cardbox box, then fill the box with expanding foam.bit of a last resort that one.
good luck.

I've used rubber grommets to dampen the sound. Use one for each screw.

I have been searching online and the speed control seems to be a popular solution. I will try rubber grommets and if no luck I will try the controller. Thanks!

Hang it rather than fixing it with screws ,making a rubber gasket ,i actually used long screws with about an inch of folded up thick towel material inbetween the fan and the roof acting as a gasket and it did the job ,now i just hang mine thru the screwholes as its fitted to a cooltube and carbon filter
