Hi,

My last grow was 5 years ago and went very well thanks to all the great advices I got here (lost my mail since though 😐) and I'd like to start a new one, here's my setup :

Tent : 80x80x180cm (~32x32x71")
Inline fan : AC Infinity Cloudline S4 350m3/h (205CFM)
Carbon filter : AC infinity refillable 357 m3/h (210 CFM)
Lights : Spider Farmer 2000 (Led 200w)

The only new thing here is the carbon filter, I had a slightly bigger one at 400m3/h (235CFM). The thing is I suspect my inline fan to be weaker than it used to but I'm not entirely sure :

- I barely have any negative pressure even at speed 7/8 (one window of the tent is opened for passive intake). I also tried without the carbon filter.
- There's a very slight air leak where the cables are, I'm not sure if it's intended (like a cooling thing ?) or a malfunction.
- Tested the setup with full lights, a clip fan and exhaust at 4/8 speed and the temp went up more than 5°C (40°F) in an hour. I don't know if that's to be expected or not.

I also feel like it's slightly louder. Maybe I'm misremembering and all of this is completely normal, but since I haven't used it in 5 years I'd rather be sure before starting a new grow.

Thanks for the help !

YOu should be able to see the fan blades in that one. Disconnect it from everything and plug it into the wall. Watch to see if the fan spins or is clogged somehow. I have the same model and if you look into it and turn it on it blows hard.

Unless the air intake is really close to it and it's just gulping air that thing should pull hard.

You’re probably on to something here…. OP might need to restrict the intake a bit… :pass:

I checked and it seems ok, the air intake is at the bottom right and the exhaust at the top left. I tried again and I do have a slight negative pressure starting at half speed (4/8). I seem to recall the tent being really sucked in at speed 7/8 though, but maybe i'm wrong ? It's like the temp with lights on, I don't really have anything to compare to so I don't know if it's normal or not 🫤
I guess this time I'll take notes of everything ✍️

I have one window as passive intake, it's about 25x13cm/10x5" I think it should be ok ?

If you’re not getting the negative pressure you want, close that window partially….thus creating a restriction..
