Lighting Interesting LED Light Comparison Video

interesting watch, ill just add my input then,.. :smoking:
I like the way he says that all those leds are the "most well known brands on the led market" ?
what about all the others? or is he just talking about the ones in the states? if so, wot about area51? apache tech?
what about osram? does he/they dare even compare?
Regardless of all that, interesting vid mate, I especially like his 'Spectrum meter' lol.
And PAR again,,,wot about Umoles? cant these people afford a Umole reader then?
they must be able to, they earn enough profit on those Chinese leds, surely? lol.:crying:
Good to see Kind LED have broken away from copying the apollo range tho & now making or designing their own brand of leds.
or have they? hmmmm. Wait for a tidal wave of those types of leds to hit soon eh? as others approach the same factory in china. lol. its all so amusing it really is.
thanks for the entertaining vid tho bro. nice one. :pass:

yep thought that too. Blackdog led tho? isn't mars hydro almost as big in the states now aswell? same leds aint they? LG stamped on the board... sorry bro, I aint picking bones or anything just stating the obvious.
Like I said, entertaining video, cheers
:pass:
as far as the led goes, I havnt used one of those models yet but im sure I could get one shipped over for a test run. I also like the way it has a lot more spectrum settings than most leds.
worth seeing a trial run of it eh?

Pretty good vid. Would be curious to see how some of the lower end lights would compare just to see. Would be curious if you need to put out that kind of money to get really good results.
And even though living in the US if I can get some of the European lights I'd like to see how they compare too.

Hi Meef. I couldn't say how good it is? I am a newbie. I don't have a clue. I am very technically minded and know good quality production when I see it. Well my Kind LED L450 K3 had accumulated a lot of dust inside so I decided to take it apart for a clean. It did not strike me as a high quality piece of equipment. I was scared of cross threading the screws they are your typical cheaply made chinese and the metal is all low grade and doesn't look / feel good either. I have hi-fi equipment that is just amazing high quality materials. It's only an LED so can't be that expensive to make. I really love my light and I am so happy with the results. I think there is a lot of hype. Some people say this light is exactly the same as the Apollo 8. I don't know what to think? I know one thing it is cheaply manufactured and to me that means I'd be careful as I think there is too much hype. As for durability only time will tell.
I hope not to put you off as it may well be a fantastic light but do your research.

I've come across a lot of the threads I'm sure you have read. Apollo is the series of lights, manufactured by Cidly. I wouldn't be surprised if they're giving them the spectrums they wants and having Cidly make them. More reading to do... Or do I just get a cheap Mars setup? Orrrr do I wait for the American version of the GrowNorthern.. Hm hm

I don't have a clue. I bought the Kind because of the Reviews and then later I noticed it was Kind doing the reviews. I never trust anyone claiming to be the best. Shame it's so hard to find independent reviews. Kind light is obviously good but how good? That is the question. The Mars have a lot of positive journals and seem like good value for the buck. Grow northern really interests me because of low power consumption. Is there an american version in the pipeline? Keep reading MC.. Keep reading. Now you've got me interested in checking out Cidly

I know 2-3 years ago I saw quite a few awesome Cidly grows. I also see that Blackstar has a copy of that light now as well, I guess I'll read up on it. I know a lot of people weren't super impressed with them back in the day. I spoke with GN and they have a project underway.
