Lighting Interesting LED Light Comparison Video

All bang on about Cidly, yeah they mass produced them to whoever wants them to fit their own requirements.
Seems it went like this the Gn Ms0006 & BudBoosters came out first in the uk. Then Apollo flooded the market to others like Fero LED, Black Star Chrome etc.. and now Kind LED, seems that they are a bit late to jump on the bandwagon but they do have Cidlys newer version.
Some time back I remember talking to a cidly rep on Skype and he emailed me their newer version of the Apollo.
Programmable, built in timer, etc.. exactly the same as Kind leds.
But nothing came of it, it didn't go into mass production.....or did it? lol. so, it is possible that Kind LED have locked down the design patent of that led to themselves now. something that was nigh on impossible to do a couple of years ago as Shenzhens 'open trading' laws were a free for all. Not into trading politics myself but I know they changed that because of all the shit it caused between 'suppliers' ....we called it the LED Wars back then. lol.
One supplier was saying it was their invention, when another was claiming the same thing, if you ask me, someone approached china for mass cheap production of LED growlights, gave them the design, they produced it, all ok, until a employee from that Chinese factory decides to leave and copy their idea, or sell it to another overseas distributor.
Or more the case that Cidly just doesn't care, they build a batch of lights to the buyers requirements, ie different colour, different spectrum and that's that. Who fights over it overseas is non of their concern in their eyes.
Well, not so much now tho, they tread more carefully where fools dare too lol.

id like to see what board that black dog led has in it... is it a LG board? is it really a mars hydro in different guise?
ho hum, it goes on and on don't it? lol. good for them. let them copy everyone else and call it what they like,. as long as they work growing, that's the main thing

All the case for the above leds are probably all made from the same factory in china, as even LED suppliers have to out source their requirements to other Chinese factorys, thus it goes on and on. A factory making cases hasn't got any reason to stick to just one customer you see? they just want to make money and make it fast. lol. bless em. so they don't care about loyalty to one.
Same with power drivers, led beads, circuit boards and even the wiring inside, chances are, its all sourced from somewhere else...even overseas themselves.
For example, Mars hydro are selling leds with American made Cree LEDs in, that means they are importing the leds over to china, assembling them into the units, then sending them back? costly and illogical if you ask me.
They even agreed when we spoke to them on Skype the other night.
It sure is a crazy world we live in.

yeah...the new 'phyto max' range? I think MarsHydro again were going to release that version, seems they changed their mind and went for the 5W cree led Mars Pro they are selling now. But rest assured that Phyto max led looks exactly the same as MH's one.
Side fans give it away,,,ill do some more digging. lol.

found a link to the new Apollo one I was talking about...

I would be on that site for hours, but you get what I mean if you look about alibaba, copies of copies everywhere! Besides, the Mars Hydro main Boards are made by LG & so are the other copies no doubt, if so, it will be stamped on the side of the LED circuit board along with the month and year of manufacter

bro, California lightworks are one of the original and 'one' of best in my book,.,. They got a HUGE pedigree in making leds that kick ass, a bit outdated yeah but still one of the best over yonder in the states.
years back when I was looking at shitty panel types, I could only dribble and dream of owning a California lightworks led. lol. Still do now. But a fellow tester beat me to it and put one through its paces & yeah it performed admirably.

I have two of them in my tent at the moment. Maybe I'll just keep experimenting with heights and see what I can do with them. They seem to grow shrubs from what I've seen, and I'm not sure if it's because my lights were too close.
