I use a 420 scope, atm i havent gotten to the part of harvest so just 2 cents. Need a steady hand and a steady table 
Does i think 40x-100x. Atm I place the plant on the table use a chair and look for bugs ect atm. it does work really well, but with all things you need to mess with it to get the feel for it. Has an LED light as well, very helpful.
And yes you need a pretty steady hand.
