I'm growing some chaze under a 400hps. For security reasons I need to stop the grow for a few days, turn off the lights and put the plants somewhere out of view - is it OK to do this? Anything to be aware of? Thanks
It wont be the best, But you gotta do what you gotta do for security! I know people whos had the power out for few days and didn't cause any serious problems
once asleep they are just that , so dont interupt the sleep for those few days with any short bursts of light , even light from a distance or other room , if your not going more then a few days then no worries
hell i left 2 plants in the dark for 2 weeks experimenting on the supposid trichome increase theory , when i brought them into the light they looked just as healthy as they did when i moved em 2 weeks earlier , and no the trichomes did NOT increase
could cause stress but i have done this without any problems....its not ideal but we know that but sometimes we are left with no choice. Make sure you really air out the room where the grow was as well become used to the smell and moving the plants will no dought leave a smell in the area should you have visitors.
Absolutely agree. Give them a good soaking and keep 'em totally dark and don't mess with the photoperiod for the duration and they should be fine for two or three days. Of course, some varieties handle this sort of thing better than others...
Thanks a lot guys. I don't *need* to have them in the dark for three days - I had planned to put them in a different room just lit by the sun/normal lights (for roughly the same light hours) for the time they are not under the lights - would that be better?
