Hi there,

it is exactly 10 weeks since my first auto seeds (Dutch Passion Polar Light #2) have been transplanted into soil from the wet towels. Yes, they have been put into water exactly on 4.20. :)

I had a few issues with one of them as you can see here but overall it was quite interesting grow that I learned a lot from.

So, the most important part is nearing and I need your help. One of the plants seems mature enough to get a good quality clear high. The scent is beautiful, something like damp cloth with lime juice... Both of the plants (no matter how different they look) smell the same.

My question refers on the left one, she looks dense, has little to no white pistils, but am not sure about the trichs. I did my best to macro and enhance the images (I don't have a macro lens) but the pics seem OK.

The Left One

The trichs seem cloudy and im planing to do a sequential cut, the bigger and "browner" tops at first, and then after additional week would chop whats left. This one has been fed for the last time a week ago, and only water, and fructose water from there on. There was very little yellowing of the leaves but she just looks ripe (to me, but I'm probably not objective).

The other one had a lot of lower leaves yellowing, but still way to many white pistils and little calyxes, there is time im guessing 2-3 weeks of feeding and additional week or two of flushing / plain ph watering.

The Right one:

She also developed some trichs:

So what do you think, chop the ripe buds from the left one or let them be for the time being?

Feedback from the AFN's trich readers appreciated... ;)

Nice healthy looking plants ... If you've got the time I would wait at least a couple weeks ... As long as they are healthy and building buds I'd let them do the job you raised them to do ...

whats up phaze! nice looking plants there look yummy! we personally wouldnt be able to see your trichomes. these are the little hairs that grow on the bud and the pistils(most people confuse pistils for trichomes. triches grow on the pistils too) the triches are the little sparkly specks of dust on you bud, pistils, and leafs!(save ya trim!) to properly see them you need at least a 30x microscope or a jewelers loop. youll notice under the microscope the triches are actually tiny hairs with a mushroom shaped head. hope this helps.

in my opinjion also judging by your fan leaves alone they got at least a couple more weeks. also awesome job on lst!

Thnx beenjammin! Cool nick bro - I actualy have some of Ficus benjamina clones (using my MJ knowlege) rooting in rockwool at the moment - that will be a nice gift to friends... :D
I know about trichomes, but was just wondering can you tell them from the pics or not - to me they seem clear 20% and cloudy 80% on the pics - but it also could be the desire to harvest talking.

:booya:

:scope: is on the way, it was expected in the mail from ebay - but still a no show...

Good luck with your grows guys...

To me those look like they have like a 4 or 5 weeks left.. How long has she been in flowering for?

Well to me, one looks like she needs another +3 weeks (the right one) and the other one is nearing its lifecycle. I'm about to let it another week or so - no nutes for the past week - plain phd water and some fructosys for her. The lanky one is still on the nutes.

They have been in flowering for cca 8 weeks now. :D
