DIY is there a step by step make your own led guide??

id love to try make 1 maybe for cuttings just for fun, but i cant see anywhere thats not pages long, and confusing of flooded with other peoples comments,

i want a guide thats 1.2.3.4.5.6 done kinda thing with pics maybe links?

does any 1 knwo of any

Im sorry i really could not tell you im not that much of DIY guy saw your post and thought id help. by all means i dont know specs of leds at all sorry bro i know somebody will come along with better info.

thanks man, it got me started though lol,

ive read alot, it there much difference in teh epistar and china leds? price difference is epistar £10 each china 680s i can get 50 for about £20 lol surely numbers make up for it??

also the led power supply.. howmany leds will they power? i mean if i had time could i just keep going til say 100 3w leds were in the pannel screen,

does it matter if its on the metal boards or led push pin pannels??

Yes there surely is difference between china and epistar leds the top quality led produce alot more lumen(par)/Watt than the low quality ones !
So its best to use the top bin leds of the good quality manufactures to get a quality and working product!
The high power leds you want to use need cooling maybe passive but I would recommend metal boards for that reason!

well... as said the china models are pronoun for not working or preforming so my bet is on the epistar chips or another uk brand,

parts... ive alot of pc spares, and alot of metal cases,

here is what im goign to do to start, following about 8 guides they all start similar, so i need help after ofc xD

1, take a pc tower, and strip it bare inside,

2 drill holes on the left side metal pannel for leds,

3, fit my beaute pc fans inside pulling in from the right hand pannel (top of led case)
and fit on the rear and front end extraction pc fans

then i have a case for the leds being cooled and made of metal, my next mission will be leds/power units and all the rest im goign to do some digging now

awsome guide this is were my idea came from .... although he has all the wires on the led side im thinking i can drill and place leds on the inside to hide everything ? can i do this? or should i not drill the left hand side for leds and stick them on ?
