As I am using LED lights, I have been reading up on 'What is the best wattage per square foot' for LED's. I know that the par value is important but in respect to wattage, is there a limit? For LED coverage I have read that 30-40 watts per square footage is optimal. I have also seen it posted in a couple of different places that you DO NOT want to go over 50 watts per square feet. ?!? Why? Or is this just BS? I've always heard that the more light the better......
With so many different performing lights it's becoming more and more difficult to recommend LED grow lights on energy consumed and yes there is very much such a thing as to much light. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compensation_point
