Hi guys,

I'm struggling with this one. The plant started turning yellow a week ago, but have since then upped the nutes a bit - but with no effect. I see pale/white spots and yellowing on most leaves.

What do you think?

What soil? And hats the pH of the soil, plant breed, air flow, what kind of light and wattage, what nutes,
light schedule.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your replies!
The soil is Canna Terra Professional.
The plant is Easy Ryder Auto.
Its under 2 x Lighthouse Blackstar 100W (2W diodes) around 10 inches away (can't get further since its a PC grow). I have before had great results with this light in a PC with no light burns at all with those lamps.
The light schedule is 20/4.
I have one intake, one outtake and a small fan to give a bit of flow.

I had a PH problem earlier, too high PH 8 (1 week ago). It showed up as crooked leaves. I then flushed and fed with PH'ed water until I got 6.5 runoff. I quickly started seeing fast yellowing after that. So I began feeding the bio Canna Bio Vega again at 50% recommended dosis.
Its been a week now and the yellowing is spreading and the white spots are showing more and more places. I thought it was Nitrogen deficiency in the beginning after the flush - but im not really sure anymore. If you look at picture nr 2 you see yellowin in the middle of the leaf, with green tip and start..this was what makes me think too much light?

After reading thru what happened, my guess is a lockout of P with the big pH swings?... if she was in my tent, I'd do both a runoff pH test, and a slurry test, to see what the root zone pH is at after the flush. I'd probably raise the light a little just to help ease any stresses, lower my feed % and see how she looks in a couple days if the root zone pH is ok. And maybe a good folier feed? You can get a faster nute uptake and plant response thru the stoma if done correctly.

Ten inches is too close for led lights and this looks like bleaching with the white marks. If you can't raise the lights it's just going to get worse and ruin the plant.

I think you are right. Looking closer I can see leaves under the other leaves that have a nice green color. I have shut down one of the 2 lights and changed the schedule from 20/4 to 18/6. Hopefully this helps. I have before had success with the same lamp with no problems like this at all, but it was another strain, which I heard can influence how it reacts to too much light :)

im not sold on it being light burn. I have intentionally tested this a few times with the various LED lights i have. What you are showing me i see nute burn, genetic defects, maybe ph probs, iron deff. quite a few things. If you have your light at 10 inches then yes you probably burnt it. you also are not following inverse square rules, and ignoring recommendations from manufacturer. like for my main LED they say 18 inches. I drop it to 16 and still worry. LEDs take some time to get used too. when i switched over it wasnt about the money like most growers. It was about finding the right light and how to work it properly. HID HPS etc pretty simple. LED learning curve is a daily lesson. Then there is strains blah blah etc. You know i really dislike pc grows because of this. i would rather see you use a cardboard box for a grow house. pc cases just dont have the room. IMHO a waste of time and money.

I agree with size statement! PC grows are for experts! But, I doubt you're gonna abandon your grow. I'd switch to compact fluorescent. Then go find a suitable stealthy place about 18"x18"x48" to put that led growlight in!

Ive ran 100X3w LEd's within 4" of bud tips and they looked nothing like that. The only time i got any bleaching it was a vibrant white colour. In my opinion more clearance than 4" should not be needed for a light with 2w diodes.(though i can't say for sure as i never used that light before).
