Advice please.growing GGG3 ( Gelato doh) and after extreme heat 41°C here outdoor the leaves have changed. Is this because of the heat and high winds or normal.
Outdoor grow in 9.5 litre pots and soil.

Looks hungry!

Looks hungry!
I started feeding it full strength liquid fertiliser yesterday and really soaked it. Had showers and cooler weather but today it feels like extreme UV day again.
Should I give it banana and coconut water to help? Sorry to ask so many questions.
Is high UV good for it? I couldn't find any outdoor grow journals on this strain sorry

You can't go wrong with sun shine it's all good! Full strength feeds should get you caught back up.. Shee looks full flower are you feeding veg or flower I'd feed a couple veg feeds then start transitioning into flower.

:yeahthat:.... another thing in play is the heat/lowRH% , which I assume as well? This has significant negative consequences on transpiration rates; too hot/dry and the plant may close up the stomata to prevent severe water losses, which in turn restricts the flow of water and nutrients from roots to leaves,.. this can cause the physical reactions you see on the leaves, and the defc. symptoms... unless the plant looked this color before? This could be a few things, but overall yellowing hints at S defc. possibly,...In any case, this can happen fairly slowly too, over successive hot days,... You can throw some screening material over her to reduce the intensity and heat during the worst part of the day,... misting often can help too, even if it's a pain,...

Thanks. I checked the ph and it was way to low. Repotted the banana kush into 25-litre pots and giving everything high dose liquid fertiliser with fish and seaweed in it. It was 42°C where I saw them looking sick with hot dry gail force winds. Oh the luxury of living in Queensland[emoji23]

The heat can be tough man...Using bigger pots will help, I use 10gal but wouldn't recommend any smaller, also mulch on the top will help keep water in and hot out. I have also started decreasing the amount of perlite in my mix...I also foliar feed them every couple days with a diluted seaweed extract just on dark to avoid any sun burning of the leaves. Also next grow I'm looking at changing pots to white to help keep a little bit more heat away. What brand of nutes are you using?

easy on the nutes now, it may be that there's enough in there, but with such nasty conditions, the plant is is survival mode, low water loss and hence not moving much nutrients up,.... more will not help, so let what's there get working first,... fish goo will take some time to break down, plus it's really not the best fertilizer in terms of a complete spectrum of nutes, PK especially,...

Had these recommended. Bunnings is just near me so real handy. That's the white pots I'll use next grow. That's a banana Kush pheno I just repotted. You get those cheap at the Reject Shop and just drill holes in the bottom and a few up a bit for air and better drainage.

I would suggest having a look into some canna specific nutes..I'm not saying you can't grow good weed without them but you can grow great weed with them.
