Extraction is this safe for making oil

this is what they have at the local shop, it has something called triclosan in it, which is antibacterial, but not good for ingesting..

anyone know if it's safe for making oil with?

Let some evaporate. If there is a oily film left over it's a no go. If it's pure there will be nothing left over. Just a clean bowl..

What does the product say it's used for? Some times they'll put other crap into it if it's for electronic's cleaner.

just had a look... 1 litre was 7 quid, would be cheaper to buy a litre of vodka.. would i be able to put a vodka mix into an elelectric crock pot on low, as i think it will take to long with out a heat source.

if you do.... do it outside or with a fan hood directly over it drawing off fumes BEFORE you start warming it.... poutside is better... also... vodka will be much lower alc content and therefore not AS effective as the higher concentration.. i reccomend grain alcohol if you're gonna do this... and really no need for a heat source... a fan blowing on it directly will dry it in a day or 2.... at least to the "goo" form... and is far less dangerous than heat sources and flammable liquids and VAPORS...

personally i like bailer's method for ISO hash best.... jar the alc in the freezer for 24 hours... so its ICE cold... then add the ground / chopped bud / trim to the jar.... remove from freexer every few hours and shake vigorously for 2 - 3 min... do this for 2 - 3 days .....replace in feezer to keep cold... this breaks the trichome heads off whole from the leaves / buds.... then pour the mixture to glass bowl or pan for evaporation... drive off with fan... could even place a 100 watt lightbulb 3-6 inches from the bottom to provide a GENTLE no spark heat surce.
