Plasticine - You mean the kids modeling clay that never gets hard? I have only made bubble hash 3-4 times. The texture of the stuff I have done varies. Some of it will be dry and crumbly, some will be not so dry and rock hard, and the rest is like plasticine semisoft and sticky. Texture seems to vary with the size of the mesh on the bag it came from. I have a 8 bag set but I only use 5 of them.
You lads use a lot of terms I am not familiar with "soapbar" "slate" "MOT type 1" Of course hash is very prevalent in my world. Been 20 years since I have run across any. But that could be because I'm old and out of touch with the youth of today.

Soapbar was the standard cheap hash readily available in the late 90s. Low grade stuff. Slate was similar but was flat packed to about 50mm thick and fluffed up like pollen when heated and crumbled, usually into a bong mix with tobacco. The ol slate was tricky to smoke in a spliff cos it was very claggy and blocked the roach.
Both were cheap, mostly shit and full of bits of plastic.

Soap bar, slate and mirror bar are types of Moroccan hash. Named after its packaged, soap bar is the shape of a big soap bar, slate was thin sheets of blond fluffy hash, mirror bar was thin sheets of darker shiny hash. I'm a bit older than the other guys (not as old as you tho!) So can remember getting Lebanese hash (red seal and gold seal) and also the soft paki black(squidgy black).
Most of us brits of a certain age are old hash heads.
