Thank you Pop I checked out your grow and it was amazing, I hope to have just a quarter of the success you have had ! but I am a total newbie but I am dedicated and work like a sponge absorbing information about things....I hope it will translate into success ! If my stuff will live ill be very happy :)

That was my first grow, and as I said in my journal, the plan from the beginning was to keep it simple, and it payed off! I did nothing special. DWC is actually easy. Keep your PH right and keep your nute levels reasonable until flower, and you'll be fine! Also, keeping the res temp below 70F is very important.

Good luck! I'll be following your grow, I'm always interested in DWC/RDWC grows!

I am going to grab a dwc bucket system and try a bubblegum auto in it here in a week or so because it'll be a freebee and I really want to try a hand at hydroponics and soil so I can see which one is easier for me ! Thank you for the support !!

Holy cow, the seeds just popped from soil after a few hours in the tent yesterday and I have left the lights on and today they have grown quite a bit...well two of them have....little moby seems to be struggling but I'm not giving up on her. I think she may just be growing normal and the others are super quick ;) anyways I'll try to post some pictures of the 3 gals.

Boom goes the dynamite! Congrats Mama!

Hooray for new babies!

whatever you do, do NOT attempt to help her along lol I learned this the hard way (tried to help one of my girls along on her way out of the soil and ended up pulling her out of the soil entirely).
That's, IMO, what you call over parenting lol and as im sure you've already been told, over parenting will mess up your grow quicker than anything else. Especially as a new grower, since we don't know 100% what we're doing, every little change in the plant you start to question...and if you're anything like me, then start to worry, and attempt to start 'correcting' lol
But this has definitely been the most helpful place so even if you do somehow manage to mess up - there are more than enough experienced growers here to help you out.

EDIT:

IMHO, I wouldn't try your hand at hydro until you've mastered soil. From what I've read, it's a lot more complex than soil cultivation (though can be more rewarding- yield wise)

No, hydro may cost a bit more to setup, but the day to day of it is very simple, in fact, you'll want to get in there and micro manage, when, there's really nothing you can do! And a side benefit, you could go on vacation for a week and come back to everything being just like it was when you left.....except...Bigger! Try that with soil! Now maybe with a large plant in full flower, you wouldn't be able to do that running a simple DWC bucket like a 5 gallon, but with a 16 gallon res or bigger, you sure could. Even in flower, I coiuld have let mine go a full week with out even topping off if needed. At peak, they were using maybe 2 gallons a day of water.
mix your nutes, ph everything then top up, and watch them grow for a week! Whats complex about that?
