Hi folks-
Okay, here they are at Day 18,19.
Just a reminder … my grow cabinet is quite a bit different than most. The ceiling (with horizontally clustered CFLs) is gasketed and is raised (or lowered post LST) resulting in a variable volume grow space. All surfaces are covered in mylar with the 89% of the ceiling being reflective (11% of the ceilings area is venting. (Original post in this thread has link to grow space/cabinet details.)
This is an experimental design. I have no idea whether this design is better or worse than any other approach. My initial thinking regarding the design was that it would heavily favor (be beneficial in) the vegetative stage, mildly beneficial during early flowering and would be a wash in late flowering. I also thought it would be likely that the design would tend to grow more compact and bushy plants. (The design also has its drawbacks.)
Of course, the biggest variable in this experiment is the noob doing the growing. If you are interested in how the experiment turns out, you may want to check in/chime in periodically to make sure that I don’t screw it up so much as to compromise/invalidate the experiment’s outcome.
Current grow space: 21” x 21” by 19” high (wish I was) or 1.6 cubic feet. Ceiling will be raised an inch tomorrow.
Lights: 8 23W CFLs (6@6500K. 2@5000K. 24/0.
Nutes: None yet
Please provide feedback on how the plants look, particularly relative to my comments above.
BTW, I know this may sound like a funny question, but what STAGE are these plants in right now? When would you change to 2700K???
Thanks in advance-
Tom B.
First picture is oldest plant (Day 19) the other two pics are the younger one.
(I'm having trouble seeing the images full size-don't know why. I think you can see it in my album. Any ideas as to why you can't see it enlarged??? Thanks!
