Mephisto Genetics JR's First Mephisto Run - Sour Crack x2 - Recycling Drip System - CoCo

Day 14 not looking good hope they don't get stunted in the next week or I'll be culling them and replanting. This is why I hate this stage... last grow same thing killed 2 of em but we see. :/

Anyone know what deficiency this is?

How goes it Jayar.

I cant help with your problem but I can help by bumping it!

I have a question. Why put the hydroton on the top? and do you put it on the bottom also?

Thanks Dude!

Howdy FI, :pass:

Yeah bro i have a thick layer on the bottom and on the top, it's the way truu recommended in his guides. First time doing it like this so dont have first hand knowledge... but well see!

I read that if the coco dries out too much, ph levels rise and lock out certain nutrients so this is to help keep some moisture in.
Only in the beginning you want the wet/dry cycles to build up the roots then after that the coco pretty much stays moist all the time. Thing is in bloom they drink so much that i had a hard time keeping the pot full, even feeding 6x per day so this should help keep ph balanced.

Unfortunately i should have waited a bit on the top layer. My pot takes way too long to dry and it's screwing me up cuz overwatering trip me out. (last grow overwatered in the beginning and had to pull a NYC Diesel and Blueberry Diesel :nono: ended up growing the cheese candy freebie and a blue auto mazar)

Calcium def. is my guess, man.

What up BB :pass:, it probably is thats the one i always get. This is weird though never had a deficiency this fast before and they are getting plenty of cal every feeding. Growth seems on track she had a lil growth spurt yesterday and looking perky. Cheers for the help bro

Have you used the AN Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra yet? I emailed them to ask if it would mess up the ph perfect. They have not responded yet. By the time I start my coco grow I am going to add another Mars hydro 300 reflector. I have been using the general organics camg+ in my soil grow and I still got a cal mag deficiency even using at full strength. So i want to get this figured out.

Yeah bro i hear foliar feeding once a week thruout the veg growth even in early flowering with only calmag will help.. but no I haven't tried that yet but I will this time around. Let me know what they reply i don't think it should affected ph but it doesn't say ph perfect on the bottle so idk..
:cheers::pass:

JAYAR, noticed the same browning on my SC; gonna give her a little extra CalMag and see how she responds. Have you noticed any change?

If the added Cal doesn't do it, it may be a phosphorus deficiency that we are dealing with.

dude hope your plants are doing better just out of curiosity have you tested the ph of your feed i checked mine when i was getting nute lockout and for some reason it was ph 5.2 i added ph up and checked it every hour and it stayed at 5.9 and thats using ph perfect by advanced nutrients still dont know what went on may be some thing worth checking :pass:

Below is from Advance nutrients.

Thank you for your inquiry.

The pH perfect Sensi grow and bloom for coco should have enough Calcium and Magnesium for your plants. However you CAN add sensi cal mag xtra to the mix without harming your plants or the pH.

How often are you feeding your plants? Also what brand of coco are you using?

I answered from your grow. ( Hope you don't mind)

I start by hand watering till established then I drip up to 6 times a day.

I am using botanicare coco in 1 gallon smart p
ots.

There response.

What strength are you feeding your base nutrient?

My response.

Once I start the multi-feeding I like to keep the EC at 1.3/650ppm (that's including 0.4EC tap water), I let the run-off tell me if the plants require more or less feed. (stole this from Truu's guide had a hard time finding yours) Hope @Truu dosn't mind.
Of course I didn't know what to say since I never grew in Coco:baked: Yet!

He hasn't responded back in a while. I'm guessing he went home for the day. I'll post on here when he responds.
It does seem like hes trying to help me not to purchase his product.

Later Dude:pass:
