Grow Mediums JR's Poco Loco in the Coco.....

i feel you jayar i had the same kind of thing, good strains you chose cant wait to see this happen!

Thanks yall since my seeds are on the way im keeping the girls for another couple of weeks and gonna keep experimenting with the watrings to see how they do. If they explode in growth and reach a good size, then ill probably set up my other tent and keep them going.

Im really hyped up about these photos though, the C99 is some borderline hallucinogenic weed from what i hear, and the Skywalker just tastes incredible :)

Kosher, have u tried the Kosher Kush?? Lol im guessing you have... how is it bro..? I was gonna get it but decided not to after seein that it yields pretty low.

Glad you decided to ride it out a bit longer, JAY! Who knows, they might be playing possum wit you! LOL! In the meantime, in between time, Dazed threw up a BAM SLAM thread to start spreading the word to those that are tryin' to get down wit it...

What's good Jayar bro, I got some catching up to do, haven't had any internet for a min and I'm just goin around now. See they've been giving you some problems, did you talk dirty to them, maybe they're just shy.. Can't wait to see these photo grows though.
I didn't have shit else, I suck.

I used to grow with three 3.5 gallon airpots, and now I'm dropping down to two 1 galloners with the hopes that it outperforms the bigger pots. So less plants, and smaller pots. The point of the smaller pots is to let the coco dry up enough before watering again. They recommend using two gallon pots, but since I'm running a 180w LED, I dropped down to a 1 gallon so that it dries quickly enough. They use HPS so the bigger pot dries quick.

Sup Jay?

I'm just coming across your thread now so have a bit of catching up to do, just reading the first post. Everything looks great and i'm feeling you with what you're trying to do. The above quote there made me think if you want the coco to dry out quicker hence are reducing the pot size, what about just adding a tonne of perlite, like at least 50% perlite and having a bigger pot, allowing a bigger root structure and allowing them to dry out quicker?

You could even add one of these autopot - air domes in the bottom of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v34PDauF9Q

I ran a drip system using coco / perlite mix 50/50 once having them being feed small amounts a number of times a day and the things exploded in growth.

Would you say if 12.5L coco/perlite will do fine ?

Hey JR. I haven't stopped by for a while. Sorry to hear your troubles. Sounds like quite a few people are having some issues atm. Here's some :karma Cloud:

Hi there Kosherman

I've tried growing clones in 6L pots before and flowering them immediately after they'd rooted and potting them into their 6L container. Having something crazy like 30 of them under a 600 Watt light and just growing a main cola bud. It worked pretty okay. I had better success growing 16 plants in a 1.2 x 1.2m space under a 600 watt light in an 11L container (10 litres for dirt and 1 Litre extra on the top for watering.)

I think 12.5L 50/50 Coco/Perlite is excellent. I think most people would agree that feeding little but often is best and the bigger the pot the better as well. I think the ideal way to make both of these things happen is with lots of perlite or clay pebbles which are highly aerated and some kind of automatic watering system. For extra air why not put an air stone in the bottom of the pot hooked up to an air pump.
