What it do AFN!!! "AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out"
Welcome to my new home, where I'll be trying my hand with a recirculating drip system. I've had two successful grows in coco, but have been treating it like soil. This time I'm doing it like hydro and hoping to get those hydro yields!!
My goals are simple, better yields with less work. More specifically, I want to harvest 4 ounces with every run. Closest I've gotten was 3.5oz. Only problem was the daily handwatering/cleanup.. it was a mission to put it lightly.. Luckily the coco section here has a good tutorial which basically takes care of all my problems AND will give me a boost in the yield department.
With that said I'm taking Truu's advice and setting up an automated recirculating drip system with a scrog for a twist. Basically the first week the system will be feeding every other day to build up the root system, week 2 every day, and by week three I'm feeding 3x per day, and in flower feed 5x per day.. at least I think lol. The runoff is directed back into the reservoir to be used again.. it's kept fresh with a couple of airstones and can last a week before being replenished. Sounds awesome right? Almost too good to be true... but the threads I've seen speak for themselves.
I used to grow with three 3.5 gallon airpots, and now I'm dropping down to two 1 galloners with the hopes that it outperforms the bigger pots. So less plants, and smaller pots. The point of the smaller pots is to let the coco dry up enough before watering again. They recommend using two gallon pots, but since I'm running a 180w LED, I dropped down to a 1 gallon so that it dries quickly enough. They use HPS so the bigger pot dries quick.
My new grow room setup:
And all the other things like quarter inch tubing, connectors, drippers, reservoir, airpump with airstones, and timers.
These are the links I got all of the info from: The first one is Truu's sticky with tons of valuable info.
https://www.autoflower.org/f126/what-truu-knows-about-coco-20249.html
The second one is the continuation where he shows his gear like the table, pump, etc.

My Seeds:
This time I want really tasty bud and was craving a good diesel so I went ahead and got some Blueberry Diesel and New York City Diesel, both from Advanced Seeds.
I chose those two specifically because the pictures show a really nice, solid looking bud structure.. I really hate getting bud that's pure foxtail stacked on foxtail with no center. Really want some solid nugs!!
Thanks for reading my novel lol anyone and everyone is welcome, critics are welcome too!! Pictures are coming soon!! I'm sure I missed some info so will update when I remember!!

My new grow room setup:
- DIY drain table - Just like Truu's table but fitted for two pots
- Scrog
- 180w LED
- Canna Nutes - A&B, Rhizotonic, PK 13/14, Cannazym
- Drip Clean
- 120 GPH submersible air pump
And all the other things like quarter inch tubing, connectors, drippers, reservoir, airpump with airstones, and timers.
