Grow Mediums JR's Poco Loco in the Coco.....

Merry christmas bud......hahaha pun intended. Smoke one for santa

LOL left him a fat bowl ready to go so he could enjoy his cookies and milk... he gave me a nice sack to last me thru new years :)

So i have a Calcium deficiency i think.. rust spots on the first two true leaves, the rest of the plant is alright i think. Couldnt get a good pic so gonna have to upload tomorrow. The growth is coming thru good.. but one thing i noticed is that the Advanced Nutrients have a good amount LESS of C and Mg.. compared to the Canna nutes i used before.

Canna has 4.5% C, and 1.1% Mg
Advanced has 3.5% C and 0.85% Mg

I have some oldish cal-mag+ from botanicare, do yall think this would screw up my ph levels if i add it to the AN feed? I have a pen but lately it's been all over the place, cant rely on it anymore which is one of the reasons i made the jump to ph perfect coco nutes..

Let me know what yall think, i wanna nip this bs in the bud before it spreads.

Where my boys at!? Hope all of yall had a good weekend and no one got too fucked up lol. But hey... it's the holidays :) so do what u gotta do..

Got a lil update for yall, CC is looking all sexy right now and she's starting to put on some height. Ive got to say.. the growth has been steady and quite vigorous. Gonna have to check out the Delicious seedbank and see what other goodies they offer.

Without further ado... here's CC at Day 19. Still no lady bits showing but fingers crossed any day now.

Hey jay! Sorry I never saw your last update bro. First off, delicious seeds are top notch in my book. You want a nice fruity heavy hitting auto. Try out LA diavolo. Nice dense buds. I grew 5.

Second. My thoughts on the rust spots. I'm not sure how you are feeding, I think you said hand watering still? If you rule out nutrient splash from watering. Then I say yes it is calcium. Easiest fix is to get some cal-mag my friend. Try adding some dolemite lime to your coco mixture on your next batch.

Hope you're doing well bro. I enjoyed the freestyle lol!

:hug::Sharing One:

Just finished handwatering bro, she's on the drip now once a day for 2 mins. Not sure how i should progress after that but ill be keeping a close eye on her.

Forgot about nutrient splash lol yeah that could be it since those bottom leaves are basically touching the ground and watering lately has been a bitch trying not to get everything wet.

Ill be hitting her up with a calmag feed today for just in case so we'll see whats up! :Sharing One:

So it aint nute splash.. got those damn rust spots popping up everywhere!! Looking like CC has the chicken pox!!

and i tested my ph meter with some vinegar (which is 2.4) came out at 4. Tried calibrating it with 7,4, and 2.4... no dice.. this meter sucks fat donkey dick!!

Just fed straight calmag tonite with a ballpark ph level.. hope i didnt just fuck it up!!

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. One thing i didnt think about when i got these new nutes, you cant add anything thats not from there brand or you'll fuck up the 'ph perfect' shit.

Every cal-mag feeding i give has to be standalone i think, and with no reliable ph meter.... im fucked till i get a new one.
Sorry bout all the fucks that were thrown around with my rant. Butt fuck it.

Well fuck jay! I hate to hear that bro. Smokin an early mornin bowl for ya and your sick babies.

I use those cheap yellow milwaukee ph pens. They are like 15$ on amazon, when one goes bad I just replace. I've had my latest one for 2 years now and its still dead on.

Damn, Jay! Let's get that calmag issue cleared up, bro. Hmmmmm, any local shops you can get a meter from? Could you try a continuous treatment, but at smaller doses so it doesn't throw off the pH too much?

Looks like it could be MG def showing on the older growth first Jay :)

i would get foliar feeding the underside of those leaves with 1 teaspoon of Epsom salts to 4 litres or a gallon (depending how you like your measurements ^_^)

here's one of my handy guide things that I kept which you may find interesting (as it seems to be about our biggest problem)

There is no such thing as a "cal-mag" deficiency...

Hey Guys, I took this from another website because i found in interesting and informative. There's some good points in here and i'm often quick to diagnose cal-mag def rather than cal or mag def.
Thread title pretty much says it all. Use the charts in my signature line to help with understanding, but the gist of it is this: Calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) are two different elements required for plant nutrition. One, Ca, is immobile. That means it cannot be translocated (moved) through plant tissues. The other, Mg, is highly mobile in plant tissues.

Understanding this is important on a few levels, including making a proper diagnosis. Because Ca is immobile a deficiency will only occur on the upper, or newer growth. Because Mg is so mobile deficiencies occur on the older, or lower growth.

Their appearances and effects are also very different, and while both elements play together and are required by the plant, they cannot be lumped together as a single deficiency. You can experience both a Ca- and a Mg-, but they are not one and the same thing, not at all.

This is one of the charts posted in my thread, and while it is very good it does have a mistake--calcium is immobile. Keep that in mind.

BOTH Ca and Mg can be delivered into plant tissues via foliar applications to help correct, however, while the Mg- signs prior to actual necrosis can be alleviated and even reversed, the same cannot be said of Ca-.
