OK I jumped the gun a little and got excited for my first grow I got this light on again (see link below) because I have been reading that t5s aren't bad for growing. Sooo now that I've been using it for a little while my plants don't seem to be getting much from it. I don't know if maybe they are not close enough but they couldn't be much closer 4 inches away at this point....

Is this just a bad or crappy brand, not enough watts ?

It takes some skill to growOne of our members is selling a light here that with T5s, not the best choice to grow with really. They are good for vegging photo period plants mostly. If you want to grow good weed, you need good light. Stay away from cheap LED lights also. Here's a link to a light available from one of our several sponsors. hit up @BigSm0 for more information. These are a good deal and take a look at his grows under them, if that doesn't convince you, nothing will!

I grew some plants under a t5 once... but it was a 4 ft 8 buld that i mixed the spectrum in. That one you have just isnt going to power the plants enough. We have all sorts of sponsors here. The price may seem steep on some lights but they are worth the money and the have 5 year warranties. I reccomend Amare LED hands down. Or if you want to save some cash and build your own light. The good folks at Northern Grow Light have all the components in stock to do so.

What size area are you trying to cover

I am using the two t5 I have separately and pretty much I'm just growing my seedlings under them but they appear to be growing very slowly.

This T5 is good for seedlings\ micro ....honestly this light will grow about a cubic foot of vegetation very nicely, that's just what this lamp is and does.

To get the best out of this light , do a scrog that fits right under it. 1 plant
