hey fellow smokers :)
over the past 11 weeks ive been growing auto russian from just feminised, they vegged for 3 weeks under a 125cfl,then baked under 600watt hps for the rest of its life, all with a 18/6 cycle the plants were grown in a tent with a carbon filter, and and intake fan for fresh air,all in bio bizz soil, they were feed bio bloom at 1/4 strenth after the fourth week and then i slowly bumped it up to 3/4,i was loving my first grow, untill they got to their 5th week, and all i could smell was grass (wet),they never had a 'weed' smell,...soo 11 weeks later, after my final flush i decided to harvest,to start the drying prosess, after taking the buds off the plant, they smell even more of grass, ive tryed sqezzing the buds, and mashing a sample in a grinder, but all it did was amplified the 'grass' smell,so i left them for a week, and they shriveled up to the max...and smelled even worse!!! i put them all into jars for curing, and took a sample to smoke...and tbh i would of got more stonned smoking grass from my garden,i wish i could post pics but i have no cammra  sooo all iam asking is...what have i done?? have i made a big newbie mistake??? has anybody had experience with this strain?? i was expecting my first grow to be crap..but smokeable still, please help guys so i can learn for a future grow

havnt realy heard of anything good bout justfeminized. your better off next time getting gear from the breeders that are members here. seems like theres two types of breeders out there ones that release strains in order to make big profit and ones that like to smoke good weed and like to share it with the world for everyone to enjoy.

It happens sometimes that weed smells like hay when it is first cut. Dampness in the bud can cause the musty smell in your room, if not a really strong smelling strain then you'll smell the damp while growing.

Not sure what your process was for drying and curing most people will do a minimum of hanging the plant whole or in branches in a room temp area with some air movement (usualy back in tent with light off but fan on) until the stems get to the point they break when bent instead of just bending. The buds are then cut off the stems and put in a jar, the jar has to be opened every couple of hours the first day or so, then every day for a week, then weekly for a couple of weeks.

Big fat cola's can take a month of hanging to be snappy in the middle. side buds will dry in a few days.

The slow drying and curing process allows the water to evaporate and the chlorophyll to break down. It also brings out the smoothness, proper taste and smell of your weed.

havnt realy heard of anything good bout justfeminized.

I've grown out prolly hundreds of their seeds by now without problems. Even recommended them in a topic on here before and shown grows using their seeds. Next day stealth delivery and seeds that seem to do what they say on the pack with the best bulk buy prices i can find in the UK.

edit to add// If you weighed your weed when first cut, expect the final dry yield to be around 1/5th of the wet weight.
