Don't y'all start laughing at this. (I laugh at it all the time :p) What you don't see is the floor fan in front of the grow area, pumping in fresh air. It may be a ghetto rig setup, but, hey, it's working. :p All that lovely matte aluminum foil will eventually get replaced with mylar (as soon as the money fairy lands in my lap). :p :alien:

if youre able to you should just paint the walls flat/matt white, reflectivity is very close to mylar and easy to reapply just leave it air out a few days before you move the plants back in.

Believe it or not, Bgrt, paint is more expensive around here than mylar is. :P 35$ a gallon of the good stuff that only needs applying once, about 20$ a gallon for the cheap stuff that needs 3 applications to cover. I know I don't need a gallon, but, over time it will need repainting. I try hard to think ahead for all situations. I can get the mylar to cover the entire area for around 10$. Just haven't got the money yet. Thanks for the suggestion though!!!! :vibe:

thats perfect then, id never see mylar that cheap around here, lucky you.

http://www.amazon.com/Emergency-Myl...&qid=1364505405&sr=8-2&keywords=mylar+blanket These will work very effectively and they are cheap. The reason I have a ghetto setup is I haven't much extra a month (after bills, groceries and house payment), so I had to improvise a lot of it.
Had $11 in my checking account, now got $7 :p. Mylar will be here next week. Got to thinking and my girls will be much better off with the light reflected back in a more positive manner. :D

SlinjkyKat...

That set up is all good trust me, your plants are loving it & that's what matters. :gthumb:

You don't need an 'Amsterdam' style set up & spend loads! The point is to grow your own, cut out the middle man & save cash...Well that's what I'm trying to do anyway!

lol I LOVE your setup!!! I bet your girls do too!!! I'm just trying to improve in little bits and pieces for future grows. Most of us little growers are just out to not end up spending money we don't have on someone else's grown weed. You're right, cut out the guy that makes big bucks off of us. Thanks for the support and kind words!!! :five:

Wow, to get compliments from senior growers makes my head spin!!!! Thanks so much!!! Can't tell ya what that means to me. :D Talk about your :vibe: !!!!!
Just added a home made co2 gen to the grow room. Found it on utube and is really super easy (and cheap) to make. 1 gallon milk jug, thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, for the cap, drill a hole a tiny bit smaller than your tube (wish I had pics of this). Any small tubing will do (fish tank tube is ideal), insert the tube into the drilled hole and seal with silicone gel. Let the silicone gel thoroughly set . 1 1/2 cps of regular sugar, 2 tsps. Bakers yeast and 12 cps of tap water. Shake until sugar is dissolved. Put the cap with the tube on the jug, put the jug into grow area and your done. I've done a bunch of reading and this will make your lady/ies stand up and take notice with much faster growth and better yields. There is a side benefit for us growers as well, your lady/ies will produce more o2 due to the increase in growth!!!!
