I just completed a grow using kind soil and it was a very simple grow. I started with a 5 pound bag of kind soil. I decided to use two 3 gallon pots so I put half of the soil in one pot and half in the other. I filled the rest of both pots to the top with roots organic soil.

Upon opening the kind soil bag you know it means business cause it smells pretty stinky..

I planted seeds directly in the roots organic and watered. All I ever did was feed the plants distilled water never even tested the ph once just bought it and fed them.. Easy easy grow.

Plants look good but adding roots organic will not show a accurate and fair test of kind soil only.

It is what kind soil recommends as the kind soil is only meant to be on the bottom of the pots.

Wow,ok i didn't no that but to me it's a little strange testing a soil and mixing it with somthing else.

I've started thinking of it more as a nutrient regiment contained in a soil like delivery medium to help wrap my brain around it.

A couple questions if I may.
1: Did you germinate your seeds first before planting them or did you just plop them in?
2: On your initial watering did you totally saturate pot or just the roots organic half?
3: On subsequent waterings did you water until water ran out of bottom of pot or just the roots organic level?
4: Won't make a difference if you use an air pot or not?

I'm finally getting my first grow going. Bought a grow tent from a friend of a friend who lives out of state and he's been bringing it over for over a month and he finally dropped it off. I saw your method and really like it so am giving it a try, being you mentioned distilled watering only with no added nutes or ph testing seems super simple with less things I can mess up. I already have my Roots Organic and ordered my Kind Soil today. Growing under T5's, a 4 foot, 4 lamp, 20,000 lumens setup with two grow bulbs and two bloom bulbs. 3 gallon air pots. Decided to go with Heavyweight fast and vast and Dr. Krippling Smoking Gun. So if I'm missing anything in my setup or your method let me know. Thanks.

I put a root riot with the seed inside and watered .. I put a clear cup over her till she popped.

I watered the whole pot always do. With the fabrics pots you can use your finger to touch the bottom to check and see if it is moist so I water till I can fill it about 4 cups of water.
Subsequent wateringg I water 3 inches away from the plant to the edge of the pot about 2 cups of water..

Whatever pot you want you should be fine..

You sound good to go with what you have

Nice! That looks like a great option for newbies or people who just want to do one run especially. No buying or mixing nutrients and you get organic buds too.
