was going to try distilled but ive settled on ro and adjusting the ph. if that doesnt work im deffo gonna try distilled next

It will depend on what your going to use to ph it.. Earth juice crystals is preferred.

yeh but ive seen so many complaints about how difficult it is to work with. I decided to try and come up with something else. im thinking organic water soluble cal/mag powder. or this stuff http://www.sea-crop.com/products.htmlf with a calcium soluble added. or this stuff...http://shop.seaagri.com/90-Element-Fertilizer-Hydroponic-Garden-1-lb-Bag-S90-R01.htm has good levels of magnesium and other trace minerals. or just some azomite. i dunno yet though lol!!! i figure remineralizing the ro water will raise the ph whatcha think?

I just would use something organic as anything else will kill the microbes in your soil

I use LOTS of RO water, cal/mag isn't going to do much for it at all. Lemon juice or vinegar for ph down, baking soda for ph up.

I often just just bottled ph up, I've never seen it to be detrimental to my organic grows. I always use baking soda for ph up, because it buffers RO water.

IMO, that may not be true. I've seen it stated a lot, but nothing to back it up. Thats said, I use whatever I have handy for ph up, including some old, GH, PH UP. Does the microlife seem to be dead in this organic soil?

And "organics" are chemicals also. Pure forms of minerals, acids, etc, have no carrier compounds, thus man made or not, differ not one iota from an organic source of phosphorus, except that it is purer! We as serious gardeners, need to get a better grasp of what a particular nutrient is, how it works, and how it was made or manufactured.

I grow mainly organically. I do so because its easy and produces reliable results for me.
Yet I have nothing against refined/ manufactured nutrients. Just look into a brand if one interests you, and check to see how its made, or at least its actual content. Many use an organic chelation carrier that breaks minerals down into a form usable by plants.

I prefer to keep it organic myself.. And I don't ph my distilled water at all

I just completed a grow using kind soil and it was a very simple grow. I started with a 5 pound bag of kind soil. I decided to use two 3 gallon pots so I put half of the soil in one pot and half in the other. I filled the rest of both pots to the top with roots organic soil.

Upon opening the kind soil bag you know it means business cause it smells pretty stinky..

I planted seeds directly in the roots organic and watered. All I ever did was feed the plants distilled water never even tested the ph once just bought it and fed them.. Easy easy grow.
