Mephisto Genetics LBs First Mephisto Run

Thanks guys, gonna try my best. Been many moons since I ran one of these ;)

Hehe, you are observant ;) Going to move these to a larger middle bed room once they outgrow this space, but I can stretch that little cluster into a line if I put up an additional 600w. Might do that prematurely after the AC dude comes, and start the other three WB beans back there in hempys. That space is 5x2, I figured it was gonna get downright retarded back there at some point if I'm doing it right. I have 2 400s, 2 600s, and a thousand watt at my disposal, I'm still up in the air about how I want the light footprint to look.

571 GPH pump, on 5 buckets. Adequate, or should I go back and get the 900ish one? Noise isn't an issue, it could hum a spiritual as long as it gets results :D

Have the pump right next to the AC, trying to ensure only cold air is being uptook. Running SM90 to mitigate rot additionally. Room is hella cold ATM, I might start reusing this window unit, lol.

yes go get at least the 900 and use them both

Good God! ROFL those fuckers will blast off when I hook that up! :) Was gonna replace, but I have no issue using both if it is more efficient. How many gph per bucket do you recommend for the 'turbocharged' option? I'm of the same camp as far as max oxy, the most prolific growth I have seen in a system were Carolina Reaper peppers grown in a vertical aeroponic system, followed by an nft system, and coco mats done vertically with drip to waste.

I hear cats saying they are blowing the roots off a bit with extreme turbulence, you think that can be mitigated by waiting until the root system establishes, then upping the oxygen? The CDs have the most established roots so far, followed by the WB, then the Hubbas. The Hubbs are a touch smaller than everyone else, one has started striding since lights on this morning. The least of the bunch barely has roots in res, and still is a bit yellow. All her sisters are drinking the potion and loving it.

I was wasting my time with the dirt, dammit. This is so much more sterile, and res changes are pretty easy because there is a tub about a foot away.

The same CD (better shot, Day 8):
* I'm off by a day on my Cal. Adjust all days by -1

Yes you can and IMO need to hook up both and I go by LPM but I suggest 790 gph to each site or 50LPM. The MAIN THING IN NOT BLOWING YOUR ROOTS OFF IS DIFFUSING THE AIR PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry didn't meant to yell lol, if you get the proper air diffusion you can have a LOT of air. @IndicaIVoz has one bucket that has 75LPM in it and the plant is a BEAST!!!!!!!

Hey there man ;), Proper air diffusion also making sure nothing happens like if you use say 8" diffuses making sure they don't turn over with air pressure etc, root health and monitoring res's closely for changes. roots are very strong when healthy and I've never seen air be a threat under the right conditions. ;)

Ok that would explain why they might have stunted a bit, make sure your rez's don't get too warm, or you will be battling root rot the whole grow. Also I was lookin at your space. My dude you are going to run out of space FAAAST!!!!!!! Unless you plan to do the worlds craziest scrog and lst I would reduce the number of plants in that small space. Especially with the HBBSS them thangs get big n lanky

hope that aircons sorted bro get a temp sensor in that solution asap.

Thanks man, Im going to attempt to implement this asap. I might pick up two when I make it back to the growshop, I need to get the better diffuser too (using the cylindrical 3 inch grey ones ATM, will get the disc).

Thanks bro, gonna hustle over to Wally World tomorrow and see if they have an aquarium therm. Water feels pretty chill (the window AC is actually doing a better job because it's so localized) but it would be better to know with certainty. Everything seems good so far, water smells fine and I'm running SM 90 (but I know that is no substitute for proper res temp/ sanitation). Pump is getting fed 67 degree air, want to know how that is translating to actual res temps.

Yeah Man once you get that part sorted you should be good as gold mate ;) nice setup by the way ;) :slap:

About to take a few pictures, everything is moving along great at this point. The Chems and the WB have taken off, the HBSS are the smallest of the bunch, but still going along pretty decent. These buckets are blowing the soil out of the water, so to speak :)

Switching over to LEDs! I have a 10x10 room, I want to accommodate at least 6 monstrous plants (I can see the places where I can dial in more, oxygen namely, and I expect trees next run even if these turn out to be big). Probably going Mars. In your experience (people) how many large plants fit under a 4*4 foot print, DWC? Can I squeeze in four, about 2*2 per plant? I know it's strain dependant, but I've seen one huge Chem filling up a 4*4 tent. I have tons of space, I just want to make sure the space I will light is done so adequately.

Also, I'm using AN PH Perfect. I'm aware that adding cal mag or silica fucks up the 'pH perfectness'. Can I apply these nutrients via foliar feed? Shouldn't affect the root zone pH, and would onset quicker. Does that make sense? It's been pretty idiot proof since I've switched to these and I don't want to give them up (and I have mostly full bottles).

Been lurking around Amazon, think I might do two of the ViparSpectra 1200 units. Everything is still going swimmingly, size at this point is obviously beyond what I usually accomplish in soil. It's like a hempy that starts off running, instead of building up stride.

Thinking about putting an airstone in the bottom of the hempy with the leftover pump, after I change everything around in there. Can't see what it would hurt.

It's day 15, I'll post some picks once I get off my butt :)
