Okay I have a question. My red dwarf is having the same issues as my last time trying to grow. The leaf tips are starting to brown. My northern light seems like it will be doing the same here real soon. They both have been growing rapidly and are 10 days old. All they have had is 400 ml of water and a small amount of Liquid Karma. They get the 400 ml once every two days. My question is what is the earliest someone has had to feed nutrients and could my plants be hungry for the first time? Oh yeah I am using sunshine mix #4 lighting is a california light works solar storm 440 light schedule is 20/4 it may look like nothing but I check in these plants at least 20 times a day. The red dwarf did not make it last go around because I dropped it and killed it before it reached two weeks.

Soil is bit too Hot for the Lil Ones my thinking. 20 Times a day checking.... reminds me being a Newbee Ages ago. Less care is sometimes better than Overcare i would only do my Work on them whats to do once a Day and its all good.

I agree w/ Medic Grower...looks like nute burn to me.

I am using sunshine mix#4 there is only a micro charge in the soil. Liquid karma barely has anything in nitro wise. I haven't used any grow nutes at all. All I am saying is the red dwarf is doing the same as last time I tried to grow it. Same soilless mix and I did not use LK last time and it's still doing the same thing. The whole checking on it 20 times I just look through the peep hole in the tent to make sure lighting and all is good. I know I am a little over attached to my plants. I lay my water out for 24 hours to let all the additives dissolve out. My ph going in has been 6.3 or 6.2 and the run off has been 6.1

I don't have much experience with soil, but doesn't that pH seem a little low?? I thought it was supposed to be a tad higher.. Perhaps that specific genotype of Red Dwarf is EXTREMELY nute sensitive.. Last time you grew it, did you use the same nute/soil mix the entire time??

Same soil as last time same problem. The kush plant that I grew last time in the same soil I harvested. The northern lights I am growing this time with the red dwarf is not having any problems. The sunshine mix#4 that I am using has no nutrients unlike happy frog or fox farm. It only has a small small micro charge in it. The dwarf may be super sensitive to nutes. I have only used Liquid Karma in a very small amount. The last time I dropped the dwarf and broke it because I only have one good working arm so I never got to do a trial on it to see what it really likes

Yeah I'm no expert, but it seems like nute burn, possibly heat damage if it's really really hot. Any other discoloration, like yellowing leaves or red stems? Could be the soil, might be too early for the Liquid Karma. I'm personally of the mindset that just about any soil should have enough goodies to get any plant to at least a few nodes before needing any boosters. Just my opinion tho, I'll leave it to the experts here :) Good Luck!

Edit: oops, just read the update. So maybe not nutes... I have read a couple users having strange issues in Sunshine Mix. Might be worth thinking about changing soils :)

image.jpgHey brother. Read this page I've attached. It may be the answer to your problem. Reference: Jorge Cervantes, Marijuana Horticulture, 2006, pg 241

Hey dude..it aint Nute burn imo..if youve only given them LK at the right first set of leaves and until now,it aint yer LK unless its bad ofcourse.which happens. But I seriously doubt it.Did ya dilute when ya first fed em at all 50%?or lower. But anywho..

Possibly your water But if ya got a link maybe Id like to see what Bio charge is..Unfamiliar with that man.,Thanks! but Im leaning towards your PH and a small water issue possibly.Bubble your water for no less then 8 hours imo.most say 24.but thats all bout chlorine.its redundant imo if its not there.A few hrs if yer chlorine is gone will activate it well and then dump in yer feed(which ya may need to increase with a real Veg nute soon imo not yet till we're sorted alil) and let it sit for a cpl mins n feed accordingly.PH intake to 6.8 for a time with full strength LK and water well when its time, fluff yer soil and fully let dry as ya would..n get back to me please.Thats exactly what Id do at this time..Hope that hooks ya up dude..Ya may wanna look at a quality smooth feeding nute such as Humboldts A and or B line.Or similar.AN nutes are great from what Ive used and seen too.

Well dude..I hope that works for ya cuz thats what Ive done it that situation when Ive done that set up short of the brand of soil, light n sounds like yer PH is a touch low on intake imo.Be good man.

Could it possibly be that the leaf tips are sitting in the soil after watering? one in the pic looks like it could be touching the dirt.
