Lighting Led+HPS advice needed

Hi everyone, I'm starting my first proper grow and funds are low.. I have a 600w digital hps im thinking of running it at 250 and putting a mars 300 led in with it can't decide If a 1x1x2 or a 1.2m tent would suit me better I have 8 LSD 25 autos from fastbuds. Would the 250 hps and mars 300 be sufficient lighting and also what size pots would I be best off using to get the most from my space.. If I get anything over 250 grams I'll be very happy .. Appreciate Any advice at all.

I think JUST the 600W in that space would be better than mixing them?

I dunno, you should start ur plants off just under the mars until about a week into Veg then blast them with 500ppfd to be safe

Thanks for the reply man and I don't really want to run the 600w because aiming to keep electric costs to a minimal

In that case... if u can’t just buy some Quantum Boards, best grow lights in the world, uses the least electricity too, or rather their the most efficient lights u can buy.

I’d recommend those

@Soil2Coco is your lighting guy, he knows WORLDS better than we do, so whatever u see him doing... mimic that for success friend.

But if u can’t buy new lights.. then those 2 lights will function, and you’ll get good Weed. Just won’t be the best it could have been is all.

Money changes everything, kinda sux. But I feel u, I almost got my electricity shut O due to low funds...

And if u want big yields use big pots. 5 gallons is plenty for most autos

Use smart pots tho, trust me.

And if u can manage it... run at least one of them In a Hempy Pot. You’ll get WAY bigger yields bro

I'm going to check out the quantum boards man thanks for the advice and for replying so fast. Do you think i could pull 250 GS with 385 total watts if I control the environment and keep heat and humidity down and what size pots would you reccomend

250 per plant?

I dunno what do the breeders advertise as the yield for the strain? The advertised yield of a plant is almost ALWAYS with PERFECT conditions and lighting and whatnot. So with your lighting I’d say SAFELY you’ll pull half or more of that.

Bigger pots bigger yields. Most autos don’t rly need more than 5gal, especially in smart pots due to the way the roots grow. It’s amazing

If u get quantum boards and just feed those plants water u could hit that yield lol. Grow them perfect and use the best QB’s... you’ll get 2 grams per Watt potentially. 2.1/GpW actually lol

@Soil2Coco could tell you definitely if you could achieve those numbers w that plant and those lights. He knows much better than I do. But I learn from him, and those numbers come from him. 2.1/GpW is with damn near optimum conditions and genetics tho.

1.5GpW per plant is a safe number if u got rly good QB’s. Just kinda comes with the light [emoji846] their THAT good

Thanks bro appreciate it I used 10ltr smart pots for my last grow and my yields were really low with autos so will try the 5 gal this time how many would you fit in 1m squared
