New Grower Led light height too near ?

I'm glad I found this thread. I was looking to get an LED to help with temps, but I grow in a 2ft high micro cab, making LED impossible it sounds like. :No:

haven't planted anything for almost a year and kinda forgot all my routines..
I'm using a grow lab with 2x100w backstairs... i started the seedling on 20 inch distance.. but it seems to stretch ..
LST some of it.. and moved it to around the 18' hope this is okey.. seeds around 1week old.. fingers cross..

with led's one or two inch's can make a big difference, in the penatration, to thicken up the secondary bud's. so they are worth harvesting, instead of ending up in your kief or hash making bag

The idea of shortened hours to make up for the light being too close is interesting but it doesn't take into account blending or the distance where the majority of colors mix which for most lights is between 12" and 20" ... the tighter the optics ... 90 v. 120 degrees the further it needs to be to blend properly ....
