Can someone explain the price gap between some units for example..

Top Led has the mars II 900w for $355 but a solar storm 400w is like $780 is the tech just better for the solar storm or something new to leds so sorry if that's a dumb question :Sharing One:

Lol and the next led I'm buying is 75watt and £330..confusing isn't it. Buddy it's all down to the quality... You get what you pay for.. But be careful not to be ripped off... Check the LED growing section to see the lights that have been proven to work. There's some great stuff out there:Sharing One: Best of luck

Solor storm prices are way to high and there are more companies that also are over priced.I think they work on high percentage profit and not by volume.I have found that Grow Northern has good prices and quality units.

I can't say enough good things about my GN MS00006. Order came 24hours after payment, light is amazing at a great price. Simple, just the way I like it.

This is a post from another forum I was checking this out on, so I can't say it's 100% to be true but I've known this guy for a while and he's, too smart for his own good and I believe the things he researches.

"
I found this list online, and I believe it to be true.

HGL: Older models = Bysen/Bluesea/BSLed, Newer models = Greensun (Bluesea, Bysen and BS are all the same factory)
Magnum: Older Models: Bysen/Bluesea/BSLed, Newer models = Houyi
Blackstar: older models = Cidly. Their Chrome series is from somewhere else. Not positive where. I think it might be Evergrow.
Vipar: Evergrow (take a look, they didn't even bother to change the spectrum, ratio or layout from Evergrows' standard spectrum)
Gro Blu: Cidly
HTG: Cidly
Grow Northern: Cidly
Fero Europe: Cidly
Blackdog: private design, though slightly ripped off by LGled

Basically there are only a few companies that make our LED technology, and a whole bunch of repackaging going on.

Evergrow is the same company I bought from directly, so I expect that vipar to be nice"

That said my Vipar 600w LED was $279 shipped and although I haven't had time to use it yet reviews here are good and it is BRIGHT. Blinding and I'm used to 2kw HPS in a 5'x8' room, I expect this light to perform well

@gadget guy, yes very true only a few certain manufactures and they are "re-branded" but lights such as the grow northerns have there own custom drivers. It's very appreArant by looking at grows by master tang and others under there grow northerns speak for themselves... From all the LEDs I have the only one I've had troubles with has been the bysen direct, though timely in the process bysen stood behind their warranty. Had a fan, a led module, and one drive swapped out. They must use 6years olds to make them as the spaces and room to work in are tight.

That is good to know, I was only passing on (which I made clear) second hand info and a lot of my research confirmed the same but NOT ALL. Thanks for chiming in. I wasn't trashing any light or company and definitely did not mean to come across that way....

Why would you think I would think you were trashing any light company? Your op was informative, clear, and helpful. Don't ever apologize for speaking your mind! If you need any help along the way in your grow journey feel free to PM me :)

Thank you, I just like to clarify I'm not one to bag on anything lol
