Sorry about all the posts, have ptsd and struggle with new stuff on laptops. The big dark drobe is the one I have in mind for hps. Small pine drobe I finished last night. Just need duct. oak effect drobe has 2 helios pro2's either side os the gn ms0006. other drobe has blackstar 240 + chrome 6 spot. New drobe has a maxibright t5 on order, will fit like a glove :-)

For anybody that cannot find a grow tent that fits in a wardrobe. Check out a shop called Germanleden on ebay. They do a 90cm x 50cm x1.6m high tent.. Drobe or not, that isn't a bad size tent for an led panel. No Im not a spammer, just that is the only place in the world that I found a drobe sized tent... :-)

Would this work??? 1 additional inline fan, into a y splitter, 2 bits of duct both aiming at the led fans so cool air is pulled through the leds panels... Or would that upset negative pressure? I'm thinking blowing cold air into panels and running hps in flower drobe could work.

Which wattage hps do you use + which led? I bet they go together very well. Both do a great job by themselves. I'm amazed more people don't use both. Especially people that are already growing with hps and cool tubes.

I have a MH and HPS in my area. The mixed spectrum is nice, but I'm thinking about going 2x MH from now on, with some supplemental red light from LED. My buds under the MH are still incredibly dense, and more frosty than the HPS. The blue light increases the plants stress resistance, and I've seen healthier plants under it. The MH also runs much cooler, allowing you to get the light closer to make up for the small difference in lumen output.

You shouldn't worry about cooling the LEDs, they run cool as it is and as long as your air exchange and circulation is on point it shouldn't be a problem.

Instead of a y split you could just run a simple duct fan pulling air from OUTSIDE the space, running it through the cooltube, and out the other end. If it doesn't come in contact with the inside air, it won't need to be filtered obviously. Then just have your main fan hooked up to your filter.

Consider using insulated ducting, as the air moving through it is significantly more quiet. It is larger, and more clumsy to work with, however.

I use a 600 hps and a MarsII 900w led 180x5 from topledgrowlight uses 400watt's.buds have never been frostier! even stems seem to be frosty

I'm loving my LED/HPS combo. I use two 400w hps and a 240w LED.

Great to get some replies from growers that are already well underway using different lights. Really good interesting replies. Sometimes I think about the electric I use, then see posts where people are drawing double. Just to be clear, I didn't mean hps cool tube, I meant led fan with duct taped on the back/or near, but fresh air coming in just for the led The chrome would be right at the top of the drobe and I don't want it to over heat. What about these ballasts, heard they get warm... Do you have them on the inside of the tent, or must they be on the outside?
