Lemon juice,vinegar

ok, i just added 1mill of vinegar to a litre of tap water i will check it an hour. I did check tap water that had been left for 24 hours and it was no different to the fresh BUT it is not easy to distinguish between the colours on the chart i have, some of them are hardly different between 7.2 to 7.6 will post a picture later with the result of my vinegar test.
cheers

Hey friends
I use apple viniger for a long time and it works perfect for me, i read that lemon juice isn't good for the plant but i don't know where i read it and whats the reason why it isn't good.
I mix nutes first and then regulate the ph.

A color test is not accurate enough to detect such a small change.
Buy a digital ph meter asap, you are just wasting time until you have one and you clearly need it.

Vinegar attracts fungus gnats. I found out the hard way.
If you dont have one already, a yellow sticky would be advisable in my experience/opinion.

Peace

Yes, I forgot this. Get some yellow stickers.

Glad someone threw this out there. I have been using vinegar and it has definitely had some effect in attracting or hosting fungus gnats. I also found out the hard way, and even with sticky traps and gnat nix the buggers are still showing up, but definitely less abundant than they once were.
I've read that cider vinegar doesn't have this effect on gnats, while white distilled vinegar, the kind I use, does. Maybe someone could chime in on any differences in white vs cider vinegar.

I know apple cider vinegar attracts them. Before I got the stickies I was trapping them with a pan of water, cider vinegar, and dish soap.
I used mosquito dunks. Didn't work.
I used peroxide in the soil. Didn't work
The most effective thing I used was, food grade diatomaceous earth. I put some in a salt shaker and sprinkled top of soil after every water. This worked the best, in conjunction with yellow sticky traps. I've had a single sticky in the tent since then. I check it everyday and everyday it is clean.
Of course I stopped using g vinegar to pH down also!

Peace
