I don't know how you get supplies but we had a local shop and we could get a super fine wire. We could get an inch or two and then they weigh it. That small it's not super expensive and you can fume for a lot longer with a miniscule dot of gold compared to silver. If you get some it's a little different to use than silver I loved doing fume work. You end up with super solid pieces that are amazing colors.

I've been going through ABR imagery and mountain glass I think mountain glass has said gold wire I'll check and if they do I'm going to give it a go. Going to make my first color order tomorrow. I've heard mixed reviews on the gold wire that's why I didn't grab any yet can't hurt to give it a go. I got a bunch of silver dimes and quarters I'm going to make some silver beads with it this weekend.

Gold is a lot easier to work inside out then on the surface because it burns off easily. Make sure the glass is hot and lay down just a little silver first, the gold will stick better. On the surface you need to capture it under clear glass with a soft flame.

All this color is gold and silver fume after it's resonated. The second pic I cleaned out the mouth piece so you can see the difference.



This is inside out fuming and some light surface work fuming. You should try an inside out if you haven't yet. Just barely open up the tip of your point. plug up the mouth piece. Blast your fume up inside. Close up the tip and make your pipe; very nice effect and easy to make.

Here's some wrap and rakes I tried out tonight, I got the hang of them pretty quick. Man these things are going to have some sick color in them for sure.

Bro everyday they get better and better and those nails are doing great sometimes I'll buy some nails from the headshop and after heating them once or twice they crack I've been using the same once since Friday thanks again bro

Thanks SS I'm glad they are working good for ya bro. It only will get better from here. I got about 20-25 more day's till my kiln is done I'm chomping at the bit here.
