Wow! I clicked on this thread and went to the first page by mistake. Scrolled through all your pipes posted so far and BRAVO, such an improvement. You are on you way and without a kiln even. Can't wait to see, when you can start doing I/O and seals On your exotic green pipe did you encase the color before using it? That Salmon color although pretty is usually considered 'burned out' sometimes it will get bubbly and chard looking.
no it is on the surface I read the working directions wrong and I over worked it and had the flame characteristics bacwards the next one I hope I get that oil slick green look to it instead of the muddy baby diarrhea color. I think is is ugly as hell my wife likes it but I hate that muddy look. I'm going to give it away to the first person that comes over and likes it.
Thanks torch I try really hard I'm getting it more and more every day I can melt my work in evenly now with out twisting the tube which was my biggest problem now getting my blow tube axis right, that is what I'm working on now. my last 10 pipes my blow tube axis was off a hair and when I pull the neck you can see the wonkyness in it then last night I got two perfect and what a difference it made perfectly straight pipes made me feel good.
Thanks for dropping by my thread today, just thought I'd check out some of your info, dude your an artist! This glass work is amassing. Is it just the glass or do you have any other arts and crafts skills?
