Getting ready to move from seed tray to media for my first auto grow, so I've been reading up on the life cycle of auto flowering cannabis thread over in the new growers forum. Being also fairly new to hydroponics, I've often read that one of the potential side effects of hydro versus soil is shorter times from seed to harvest. I know that there are many factors that can effect things: environment, type of hydro setup used, genetics, etc...etc...

But I'm just wondering if some of the more experienced hydro growers could chime in on if the life cycle outlined in new growers is likely to be slightly different for hydroponics versus soil.

Thanks! :smoking:

Thanks for the input. I honestly am not expecting too much difference from the general outline in the new growers forum, but just wanted to get as much a clear picture of what to expect as I can going in. A lot of what I read was also for hydro gardening in general, so may apply more to tomatoes, peppers, etc... and not necessarily to cannabis.

I have never grown in soil. Just flood an drain and with coco. I use the lifecycle as a guide an go from there. I always go way longer. Like 12-14 weeks before flushing. Yeilds are great.

I love hydro just fits in more round my life and have got very good yields aswell

I havent done an auto in soil, but in hydro I did a cream of the crop cash crop took around 12 weeks from seed to cut I did rush towards the end as was a bit impatient could of gone another week or so. My reservoir held around 25 liters which was ok now I've changed it and it now holds around 50 liters which helps with PH levels and running.
