can anyone shed some light on this issue with my AKR freebie.

it didnt have the best start, i made some mistakes and the (very hot) weather wasnt kind to the seedling for the first few weeks, but here she is just starting to look promising and i notice this patchyness.

no ferts added at all, but i am using standard potting soil which i know is prob too strongly loaded with ferts for an auto. secccond pic was taken at night so has 'night droop'

Bass'- exactly what brand of soil did you use? I'm thinking lock-out of some kind too,... I see no signs of nute burn, or even heat stress, but the whole plant is showing symptoms of more than one kind of defc.,... what bothers me most is the new growth looking patchy,... pH is most likely behind this, and perhaps lack of nutrients in this soil, pH aside... that overall pale color could be N defc., Fe, or even S,... the yellow/dead patches, P or Ca,.... need more info, mate!

Ok, the brand of soil is just some generic unknown brand so that will give you no help. i can tell you that it states to have a pH of 5.5-6.5 and is made up of various peats. i ammended it with loads of perlite, to make a estimated 30:70 perlite soil mix.

ill have to admit, i use a very un-scientific 'pinch' of citric acid to a bottle of tap water, and water the plants like this. i have tested a few times in the past to see what my 'pinch' does to the water and it always comes out about pH 6. but i certainly dont test every time.

would foliar feeding help here in the meantime until i can get the soil/water back to where it should be pH-wise??

also while im ere, does anyone know if you have to have your spray water pH correct for foliar feeding??

I had the same prop thees spots appear from heatstress and from nuteburn of too hot soil. And Foliar feeding causes this too try to feed them when lights are out and make shure they took everything before the lights go on.

Just a quick update for anyone thats interested-

here we are ten days after my original post, i didnt really do much to try and rectify the problem i just watered with plain water a couple of times and just waited to see what would happen. as you can see there has been growth, so its not given up the ghost just yet! and i think the newest set of leaves dont show any bad signs so maybe im in the clear, i dont know.
